Best WLM Reviews

I will tell you that Amen Street Fish & Bar atmosphere and the menu are one of the best when it comes to fine dining in Charleston. In addition, ask for a dozen oysters with 2 of each of the type in order to taste all. Please ask for Waitress “FELICIA” the best here at Amen Street Fish & Bar. She has a wealth of knowledge concerning their menu, definitely friendly and personable.
Please take visit and I promise you won’t be disappointed
Had our favorite meal of our 5 day trip here and the BEST service too!! We loved our experience so much we contemplated eating there 2 nights in a row :) The scallops dinner had huge perfectly cooked scallops with the best risotto I’ve ever had. My husband got the special - crab stuffed flounder. Also outstanding. Also loved the shrimp corn dogs. Our server Michael was extraordinary and a wealth of knowledge and hospitality.
This is a kinda cozy restaurant with delicious food. I tell you...this was an amazing, juicy burger made with the finest seasonings. And the fries! The chef used a special seasoning that offered a cinnamon flavor. Oh my!
The restaurant is in the thick of downtown where everything happens. Please visit Amen Street. You will love it!
Although the service was excellent, our overall dining experience was disappointing.
The drinks, Old Fashioned and Holy Basil were very good, the Bloody Mary, although stated as hot (spiced), was too hot to really enjoy. The only other thing we selected that was enjoyable was the Fried Green Tomatoes.
We were disappointed with the She Crab Soup, this rendition was just way off of our expectations and others we judged it against.
The Seafood Pirlou, although edible, was not enjoyable. Could have seasoning corrected our taste buds? Not sure at this point. A real disappointment.
Good food - a bit overrated. First of all the crab cake was burned. Secondly the children menu was treated as an adult menu - with no account for a children taste or abilities. Shrimp was with shell (for children needs that to be removed) and the beans were seasoned with lemons and spices - great for adults but troublesome for children. Then I asked to get a plain beans - that was welcomed with a great surprise - what your child does not eat greens with lemon and spices.
Have been here a couple times while visiting Charleston and have been neglectful about a review because they are a class act in a very competitive culinary environment. Their attention to me was superb…from the hostess, the bartender to the oyster shucker. Wonderful oysters and the shrimp corn dogs blew my mind as I’m not as crazy about shrimp as other seafood but I craved every bite of this interesting presentation. They are a must for anyone visiting Charleston
A beautiful building in historic downtown area. Perfect for grabbing a bite and walking down to the market. The oysters were fresh and tasty, the prices were fair and the decor of the building is very beautiful and unique.
Made reservations via Open Table and seated promptly. Extraordinary service. Food was brought to the table with impeccable timing. Good thing as table was small. The best fried tomatoes with pimento cheese and fried goat cheese that I have ever had. Swordfish Sammy, fried shrimp, and oysters on point. You have to visit for the experience. Garage parking not too far and The Market is right there.
