The vegan enchiladas are delicious. The presentation authentically served on a wooden plate. The potato and mushroom stuffed tortillas smothered in black bean purée combined with the crispy tortilla strips with small grain rice are making me tempted to make the drive there from ???? Couveland, seriously, it’s that good.
The only reason for the one lower star was because the food was not warm although I ate every bite! They seemed to be having a family dinner so maybe just preoccupied. I will be back maybe next time I go to the coast.
Recently Amelia’s was brought to my apartment complex for the featured food truck of the month. Did I mention, I love my apartment complex?
Experience :
This was my first time trying the street tacos. They were delicious and hit the spot. I see why you were featured.
Food truck was very clean. Inside and out.
Price:
I got the chicken street tacos for $14. It was alot of food.
Customer Service:
Impressive and the guy helping me has a brother in the Marine Corp. My little brother served with the Marines too. I overpaid and he gave me back my money.
I will definitely be eating here again.
Not great.
Amelia’s by the Hillsboro airport. I’ve had food delivered from Amelia’s (possibly another location) and it was great. Sadly, our dinner experience was not great.
The atmosphere inside is loud, if you’re hoping to have a conversation during your meal, this probably isn’t the best place. I had a hard time hearing my friend who was sitting directly across the table from me. The restaurant wasn’t very busy.
The food was underwhelming. The corn chips were cold, the salsa tasted mostly like canned tomatoes. My salad was beautiful but it could have been much more enjoyable had it been dressed properly or had enough dressing been served with such a large salad. It did have some good attributes. The toppings were tasty, but lightly sprinkled over a lot of lettuce. The balsamic onions were good as well as the meat. Ultimately it was bowl of mostly dry lettuce so it ended up tasting bitter. The salad does have potential, it just wasn’t prepared as well as possible.
There was no greeting from staff who just looked at me. Service was mediocre. Staff seemed unhappy and one staff member looked downright angry. Seemed like bad vibes. It was unpleasant. Since we cannot force staff to simply become happier, our alternative is to not return to that environment.
My friend left her margarita because it tasted so much like sweet and sour.
This place is the bomb I love the delicious food and generous portions. I had fish tacos they were perfect not so saucy where the tortilla falls apart, one bite in my mouth and I was in heaven yum yum. The atmosphere was great, great place to come on a Friday after work to kick your weekend off food drinks and people. The staff is wonderful and they laugh with you and made us laugh. Thank you will be back more often.
We actually went to the wrong location, we didn’t know there was a couple Amelia’s with the same ownership as we were told.
This place is located more in a commercial area which kind of changes the feel of the place.
Walking in it was empty of customers so that was kind of odd, it was cold in temp, and extremely quiet every seat was open.
All table and chairs not any booths but the place is clean and open.
We got greeted pretty quick but chop and water refills weren’t attended to and no salt available and really no one to ask for it.
The food was pretty tasty, I got a carnitas burrito but most of the meat was in the middle of the burrito which seemed pretty dry but when I got to the ends is where all the onions and cilantro were.
A really unbalanced tasting burrito.
My why ordered a chorizo and one Carnitas taco, got the chorizo taco but the other one was chicken which she didn’t expect and didn’t really care far as it was not a taste she was expecting but the food was good!
Kind of upset with my recent service.
Good friend keeps telling me I need to try it, finally did. Ordered the Loco burrito with no beans, and extra carne asada.
Got home, and it’s packed with beans and shredded chicken and NO pico de gallo as advertised on the menu.
I only live a couple blocks, so I took it back and the waiter chewed out the guy in back. Made it fairly quickly but when I got this one home, there was no green sauce and still no pico.
Clearly your chefs cannot be consistent and it’s extremely frustrating, I’ll still eat it because I’m tired of driving and I just want to chill but this is nonsense.
I love this place... The food was so good, but this time the service was horrible... We sat at our table for 15 minutes without seeing a server... And finally when he came over it, was hurry up and eat.
The food was average at best and I will probably go elsewhere in the future. I received a pretty small portion size and my meal was close to flavorless. The food also took much longer than anticipated to be prepared. I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt since they seemed to be very busy at the time and all of their staff was working very hard to keep up with all the dine-in and take out orders.
