Best WLM Reviews
Not the best. Heated recliners were nice but they barely recline. I’m 6’4” and my feet rested flat on the ground even at full recline. Didn’t care for the glaring bright light directly overhead during the whole movie either. Theater was clean though
Nice theater. Staff was friendly. The only thing I wish it had was kisko machine to manual print my own ticket. Other than that I give this location 5 stars
I tried to keep the 1950s to a bare minimum. Nostalgia is a powerful feeling; it can drown out anything. I wanted the picture to set up like a fairy tale, outside time, like Treasure Island.
I knew it would have a slow, rolling pace. Just get into it; let it roll over you. It's more of an experience film. I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself.
I film quite a bit of footage, then edit. Changes before your eyes, things you can do and things you can't. My attitude is always let it keep rolling.
With Néstor Almendros, we decided to film without any artificial light. It wasn't possible in the houses at night, but outside, we shot with natural light or with the fire. When the American team was saying, 'This is not how we should proceed,' Nestor Almendros, very courageously insisted. As we filmed, the team discovered that it was technically easier, and I was able to capture absolute reality. That was my wish: to prevent the appearance of any technique, and that the photography was to be processed to be visually beautiful and to ensure this beauty existed within the world I was trying to show, suggesting that which was lost, or what we were now losing.
It would be difficult for me to make a film about contemporary America today. We live in such dark times and we have gradually lost our open spaces. We always had hope, the illusion that there was a place where we could live, where one could emigrate and go even further. Wilderness, this is the place where everything seems possible, where solidarity exists - and justice - where the virtues are somehow linked to this justice. In the region where I grew up, everyone felt it in a very strong way. This sense of space disappearing, we nevertheless can find it in cinema, which will pass it on to us There is so much to do: it's as if we were on the Mississippi Territory, in the eighteenth century. For an hour, or for two days, or longer, these films can enable small changes of heart, changes that mean the same thing: to live better and to love more. And even an old movie in poor and beaten condition and can give us that. What else is there to ask for?
If you try to make things happen, they start to feel presented. The action has been premeditated. It starts to feel like theater, which is wonderful in its own right. But you don't want the movies to be like theater.
I think you want to make it feel to like there just bits and pieces of (the characters') lives. It goes to that quotation that can you live in this world just moment to moment, song to song, kiss to kiss, as she (Rooney Mara's character) says and try to create these different moods for yourself and go through the world as in that (Virginia Woolf) quote, ""How can I proceed now, I said, without a self, weightless and visionless, through a world weightless, without illusion?", and living one desire to the next, and where does that lead, what happens to you in that sort of (life of moments)....It's a hard thing to convey and we didn't know how, so doing lots of locations and lots of songs was our best guess about how to do that.
Cute and clean! Best you can ask for. Seems like the employees are understaffed and if I had to guess are probably not that well treated or trained. Doing the best they could though, again shocked at how clean it was on a Saturday night.
I have been to many AMC location and this one I tried for the first time since I am an A-list member and I only try theaters closer to my house. went to watch Top gun the last show @10:00 pm, I went there and ordered food, the service was good and every one nice and polite. went to the screen, it was digital not too big screen but the seats were really comfortable and they were heated too. there was a tray for drinks and food to keep, I have never seen these kind of seats in any AMC yet. And there is also hard liquor bar available at this location.
loved it, and also the theater was clean.
full starts for this location.
I get to come here on a special day when everywhere the movie tickets were only 4$ ! Can’t beat that .
Service was good, but I just didn’t like how this theater looks. Very weirdly designed! I had been through a lots of movie theaters & so far this one just bugged me! Because of how suffocating this place is..!
The place was clean, restrooms were clean too. That’s a plus.
Went to this location for the first time. Upon entrance, ConEd was advertising at the doors and giving out gift cards. To get the gift cards, they wanted to change the settings in your account for wind energy and up charge our bill $20+ a month.
The theater was large and had a smaller screen than expected. The seats were nice with heated and reclining options.
During the movie, I saw a rodent, likely a rat, running along the stairs and behind chairs. I’m sure there’s lots of great snacks and kernels for them, but for me the popcorn was underwhelming for $11. I don’t think I’ll be returning.
This is a smaller movie theater, and I like how clean and well maintained it is. The concession stand is on the main ground floor when you walk in, and there is also a bar for alcoholic drinks. When booking the tickets online, you have the option to order food/snacks, and they will deliver it to your seats. The seats are comfortable, but they do not recline back fully. There's a footrest, and it slightly tilts back, but you will not be totally reclined. There's a tray attached to the seats so you can place your snacks. The seats are heated in case you get cold, so that's a nice option. Overall, this is a nice and comfortable movie theater.
