Great diner with the typical diner fare. Large serving with reasonable prices makes for a nice lunch or breakfast (wife had breakfast I had lunch). French dip is one of my faves and this was definitely a good one. It will make the diner rotation.
Have been here a few times. The food is always wonderful, but the service is lackluster. I always go for breakfast. Place is nice, clean and full of natural light. Sometimes get eggs and bacon, but I love their waffle and syrup.
Food was OK. My husband and son like their burgers. The rye thick toast was the best with my Ruben. The meat was very dry. The burschetta chicken had no flavor. Had a cannoli that was pretty good.
The wine was good, but the food was bad.
We were starving & ordered the Calamari Salad & Greek Salad & sweet potato fries.
We barely ate the salads & took the rest to go & ended up tossing it in the garbage, which I hate to do.
I'm not one to leave a bad review, but don't want anyone else to ever order the salads here.
Unripe tomatoes & iceberg lettuce.
A waste of $60 & wasted food. ????
It's hard to make a bad salad.
I love Greek food & diners & my go to is Spanakopita & Greek salad.
I highly doubt the owners would eat this themselves.
The baklava & cheesecakes & desserts looked good, but after barely being able to eat our $18 salads we passed.
We noticed two ladies across from us barely touching their salads.
The Greek Salad looked good, but tasted horrible.
Bad ingredients.
I love diners, yes I do and this one did not disappoint at all. Great liver and onions and lunch specials. The portions are huge.
Our waitress was so sweet to us.
I don't write reviews just to write them period but my husband and I have been to Lake. George quite a few times and never ordered or eaten here before. First and foremost, absolutely fantastic wait staff. ( Special, thank you to Crystal our waitress) Our order was to go and we got the Yankee pot roast with mashed potatoes gravy, chicken noodle soup/salad and carrot ???? cake. Generous portions and the carrot cake. It's big enough for 2. Everything delicious and yummy. We will be going there for breakfast tomorrow!! This is to the management, please take good care of the exceptionally employees that you have (hard to find), keep the great food/desserts coming! This will definitely be our hot spot stop!!
We had a fantastic experience at this diner tonight! It perfectly captures the classic diner vibes we love, with a friendly and welcoming staff that makes you feel right at home. The food was excellent—huge portions, delicious flavors, and plenty of leftovers to enjoy tomorrow. We believe the owner was working the front counter, and he was exceptional—so friendly and personable, truly adding to the charm of the place. We’ll absolutely be back and highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for a great diner experience!
Great service and food! Our waitress was very kind, and the Greek burger I had was delicious. The portions are large so unless you have space for a lot, you'll likely bring the rest of your meal home in a box.
