Myself and two other ladies went to have our nails done at the Eastgate location. The place is clean, and not of the staff were very nice and hospitable. The other two ladies have had a wonderful experience and their nails are so pretty, however, there have been quite a few issues with mine. Right after the appointment, we walked into the tropical smoothie next door, and in the better lighting, we noticed that my thumbnail was done incorrectly, leaving a gap at the bottom. I went back in, and they painted a layer of top coat over it and said that nothing else could be done. I was fine with that at that point because everything else had been good. About five days later, I started noticing cracks across several of my nails. There were a few medical issues going on in my family and I didn’t have time to come back in. Today, large chunks of the dip is falling off of my nails, so I called in and was told I would just have to pay full price for a full set, and that if I had called previously they MAY have done something about it. It’s disappointing because I have never had this happen at any other salon I have ever been to, and the others who I brought with me are having no problems. I suppose the only thing I can say is to make sure your technician is knowledgeable and experienced.
I went in for a deluxe pedicure with my cousin, and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. My service was done by Jaceline, and the paint job was extremely disappointing—something I’d expect from my 10-year-old sister, who has no nail experience. The service felt rushed, and when I tried asking a question about payment, her response came across as rude.
When I went to the front desk to request a cotton ball to remove the polish, Jaceline suddenly reappeared, acting much sweeter. She had another technician, Lynn, remove the polish for me. Lynn had done my cousin’s pedicure, and her work looked better—she was professional and kind. I would have loved for Lynn to repaint my nails, but since she wasn’t the original technician, I opted to redo the color myself at home instead.
Overall, the experience with Jaceline was somewhat frustrating, but I’d recommend Lynn for her good work and customer service.
This was my first time at ambiance and I’ll never be back. I asked to get a master tech when I requested my appointment as I have OCD and want them to be nearly perfect. Upon my arrival I was told they didn’t have any available at the time. So I ended up standing there for about 10-15 minutes while the girls at the front desk were asking if they could do the design I wanted which wasn’t very hard. One of the nail techs eventually told me they could do the design so I sat down with him. To say the least, the first picture was what I wanted and the second picture was what I got. I also want to say that a couple of the nails are literally on top of my cuticle. When I told the ladies at the desk that I wasn’t happy with them they looked at them and said “I think they’re cute” which may be their opinion and as a paying customer they are not to me and definitely not what I asked for. They didn’t even offer me any discount and I wasn’t going to sit there and be a Karen so I paid and left. They should not be advertising pictures that they’ve clearly gotten off the internet and cannot actually do. So after paying $160 for my nails and a pedicure I have to turn around and go pay another $75 to get them taken off carefully and replaced by a properly qualified nail tech. Needless to say I’m not happy with my experience. If you’re okay with wonky nails this is the place to go.
Came to Ambiance Nail Spa (in Cincinnati) on a spur of the moment decision with my sis-in-law. So glad we did! The salon really nice and very clean. All of the staff were friendly, and our nail techs (Sam & Leng) did awesome work. We will definitely be coming back next time I'm in town.
I came here 2 days ago. Im never picky sb my nails. I left they looked alright. ONE WEEKEND.. 2 pops in my nails where gel wasn’t dry underneath. Should I like not get gel? Why does this happen to me. I spend $80 on nails w a $20 tip and I get screwed with nails that crack open. I also just wanna say I had a master tech. I didn’t ask for one but I got one. This has happened to me 3x from here. I’m just going somewhere else…
Came in for a shellac polish change, my appointment was at 11:30, I got there about 11:25 and was out by 11:45, I have never ever felt so rushed in my life. Not to mention my nail tech cut my nails way too short when I said only a little bit shorter and he didn’t even make them round like I wanted, they are square-round. I usually have a great experience but today was absolutely awful and that’s what happens when your nail tech rushes.
I’ve been going to Ambiance on 32 East for almost a year. Everyone is always so sweet and professional. Susan and Nary are some of my favorite nail techs. The establishment is always very clean and well kept. I love my nails every time I come, and if I ever do have anything I want to change about them, the techs will always make sure that I am satisfied with everything.
Extremely disappointed once again. I went years ago and was told my hands were sweaty and he didn’t want to touch them. The service I received this trip was no better. My tech was flying through my service, barely looking at that he was doing. He ended up making my thumbnail so crooked that he filed my nail down to the quick! It hurts constantly. They rush to get your money and judge you for not choosing the more expensive option. We had a wedding party and they over booked the salon so we didn’t get to be near each other at any point. Don’t go to this chop shop unless it’s not busy and you’re ready to pay the most and correct them on every action to get your moneys worth
