First time here, not sure I’ll be back. I ordered chicken in garlic sauce with white rice, one of my favorite dishes. However, I received white flavorless chicken in a bland flavorless sauce. No hint of garlic whatsoever, no seasoning/flavor. The egg roll was decent but greasy. $22 down the drain.
What an amazing experience.... service was excellent and food was tasty. I got my meal fast and I was hungry. Very nice place to take a date or family..
Great service but the food was not the authentic food I was expecting. It was heavily seasoned with soy sauce. I didn't taste any of the other spices and flavors like you normally have with Chinese food. We ordered Kung Pao, Moo Shu Pork, and Hunan chicken. The Moo Shu pork was the driest I have ever eaten. It was full of bean sprouts and lacked the cabbage and sauce. The meat was tough and you could tell it wasn't cooked along with the vegetables. The egg rolls didn't have any flavor and the fried rice was basically steamed rice with soy sauce. I wouldn't recommend it.
So me and my family went to this restaurant last week. We ordered egg rolls and our server didn't even put it in. We realized that after about 20 minutes. We decided to give them a 2nd chance today. They did very good until the same thing happened AGAIN!!! The egg rolls take normally 10 minutes but this time it took about 30 minutes. So there service is pretty bad, but there food is AMAZING! Also they need ther bathrooms redone. The wallpaper is coming off and it doesn't look like it's been clean in months. The toilets are VERY DIRTY. But the overall experience was decent.
Worst Chinese food I have ever eaten. The food was made by Mexican cooker. The shrimp fried rice taste dry and the shrimp tasted like pork. Also the general saw chicken that was bad.
Friendly, clean, very pleasant atmosphere, fantastic crab puffs, orange chicken was delicious, black pepper shrimp was extraordinary. Staff was very accommodating and attentive without crowding me or making me feel pressured. If I lived closer, I'd visit often. It's worth an hour drive though.
During my recent visit to Ambassador Chinese Restaurant in Houston, I was thoroughly impressed by the exceptional dining experience. The meal commenced with a delightful Wonton Soup, followed by tender Chinese Oven Ribs and flavorful Steamed Pork Dumplings. The Mongolian Beef and Chicken Lo Mein were both expertly prepared, but the highlight was undoubtedly the Orange Chicken—the finest I’ve ever tasted, boasting a perfect balance of zest and sweetness.
The restaurant’s interior exudes elegance, adorned with tasteful Chinese décor that enhances the dining ambiance. Service was impeccable; dishes arrived promptly, hot, and fresh. A special mention goes to owner Patrick Wang, whose generous hospitality was truly remarkable. Despite my insistence on paying, he graciously offered the entire meal on the house, exemplifying the establishment’s commitment to customer satisfaction.
For those seeking an outstanding Chinese dining experience in Houston, Ambassador Chinese Restaurant is a must-visit. The combination of exquisite cuisine, refined atmosphere, and exceptional service ensures a memorable visit.
Excellent restaurant. I was craving Asian food as a visitor from another city and I hit the jackpot. Excellent customer service! The owner was walking around checking on every table. The waiters literally change the tablecloths after every customer leaves. I highly recommend this restaurant.
