Best WLM Reviews
This place is the real deal. Definitely recommend their Philly Cheesesteak. Good value too.
I went in to pick up my sandwich and was treated very bad by an ignorant cook. He tried to intimidate me and spoke to me in ways I hope my friends , family and anyone else will never have to experience. The sandwich was good but not even close to being worth the over 26 dollars it cost. I gave the management a chance to apologize or make the situation better but after several emails and a week they seem to not care.
Solid spot for a Philly style cheese steak sandwich. This spot is super consistent and produces a quality product. Steak came out fast and was hot and juicy. They use a soft roll which is perfect for soaking up all the cheesy juicy goodness, and the portion sizes are large.
The service is efficient, professional and a bit impersonal. The digs, a bit gritty. Sounds like they might do it that way in Philly.
I have never left a google review before, but this was bad.
This was the most flavorless sandwich I have had in a long time. It tasted like they went out of their way to not season it.
My old school cheesesteak was 30 dollars and tasted like a 2 dollar sandwich. Never eating here again
Guy behind the counter cooking the food is very rude, I showed up 15 mins before closing and he wasn’t inviting or appreciative of having a customer to bring this company money and business. So I said that’s fine and walked out I’m never coming back to this place again. He seemed very upset because I showed up right before closing as he was cleaning the grill.. He should be fired because they just lost a customer for life ????
I wasn't paying attention the first time I walked in, I was thinking it was a pizza place. "Nope", the guy behind the counter said, adding, "we make the best cheese steak sandwiches". I lived in Philly for a few years, and I know my way around a good steak sandwich, so I said, "Sure, 'one, whiz, with'". I got a funny look, and then the guy handed me a menu. OK, I thought to myself, I'm in Northern California after all, and I can't expect them to know what that means. So, I looked at the menu, and thought the prices were a bit high, and then I saw the cook working the grill. He knew what he was doing, so I ordered a half cheese steak sandwich, with "the works". It took a while, they don't rush, but they sure don't disappoint either. The sandwich tasted great. It's a nice touch that they have jars of peppers on the counter for customers to help themselves, just like back in Roxborough.
I would have to agree with the people saying no flavor. They were better 20 years ago. I definitely won’t be going back there
The Works cheesesteak is everything I hoped for. Generous portions, chewy bread, this was a forking sandwich. I barely completed the challenge with 4 mins to spare (24 in “the works” in 1 hour). It’s a bit out of the way, but worth finding. Yeah, I’ll be coming back.
