Best WLM Reviews
Wow, there are a lot of bad reviews here. I didn't see them before I made my first appointment as I was referred. Quickly got a bad taste, though, and canceled. Initially, I was told I'd get a text confirming my appointment, and then they called instead. Not a big deal at all! If anything, I preferred the call. However, asking for a text as well, since I was driving and couldn't write down the address, was a crazy concept that warranted sarcasm and a patronizing tone, lol. In the grand scheme of things, it's not a big deal, but that's the last thing I want to endure while scheduling or relaying information to my doctor in the future, so it's a pass for me....Unfortunate, since I had to wait a while for an appointment.
Amarillo Family Physicians has provided me excellent service! I was looking for a new PCP and I was scheduled with Dr. Burson, she and all of the other staff are very kind and listened to my concerns and provided great treatment options. I also am currently going to their allergy clinic and it’s been excellent as well! I definitely recommend this facility if you are looking for PCP care.
Used Tonia Hudson several times and really liked her. Then they refused to get me an appointment with her because they said she wasn’t taking new patients. Told them that I had never seen the doctor they wanted me to see and had seen Tonia several times and was not a new patient. Still refused and was extremely rude and disrespectful. I won’t be using them any more.
Extremely selective admission policy. Only accepts individuals with perfect health. Be wary of mentioning any pre-existing conditions, even minor ones like headaches. They seem to only treat issues that arise after enrollment. The business model raises questions about its efficacy and ethics. By focusing on an already-healthy client base, their medical interventions appear to be minimal, possibly limited to basic wellness services like vitamin prescriptions. This approach may be financially beneficial for the provider but potentially offers limited value to patients with genuine healthcare needs. Consider if this aligns with your healthcare needs before signing up.
Hit or miss. But Dr. Young or whoever is at the top, doesn't know one damned thing about neurodivergent people like myself.
So I will need to find a specialist psychiatrist and pay tons of money, wait for 3-4 months for first visit, because, as a medical town, all of Amarillo sucks.
These are bad people. They don’t listen. They don’t care. They charge you to waste your time. I don’t recommend. Many bad experiences with many bad doctors. They are neglectful and make you feel stupid, unimportant and lesser. No matter the pain you’re in. It’s gross the way they treat people. My family was with this company for years and I don’t know what happened but one by one we’ve all cut them off for similar reasons. Especially if you’re disabled and trying to get tests to prove disability. They don’t care. You come to Amarillo family physicians to pay money and get debt. NOT to get help or to deal pain management help. 0 stars.
My doctor, Martin, is awesome. He's simple, quick, and always has the best advice.
The lab, however, is unprofessional and my least favorite part of my appointments here.
They do not have the best attitudes and treat lab work as if it's an inconvenience for them. Even today, I waited almost an hour for them to do lab work and it was never done. It was almost closing time, so when they started leaving the lab, I followed suit.
Not enough time to do my lab, but enough time to LOUDLY read over my report and do nothing. Wonderful.
I get excellent care from all the services at AFP lab, xray, allergy clinic and primary physician...Dr Malone is great...He listens and provides exceptional care in a timely manner....
