We had the pleasure of meeting Marcus during our stay for a friend’s wedding, and he truly made our experience unforgettable. From the moment we sat down at the bar, Marcus’s warmth and professionalism stood out. He went above and beyond to ensure we had an amazing time, tailoring drinks to our preferences and offering fantastic recommendations. His creativity and skill behind the bar were unmatched, crafting cocktails that were not only delicious but also perfectly suited to the celebratory vibe of the weekend.
What truly set Marcus apart, though, was his genuine care for his guests. He made everyone feel welcome, taking the time to chat with us and making sure every detail of our experience was perfect. It’s rare to come across someone who is so passionate about what they do, and it was clear that Marcus takes immense pride in his work.
Thanks to Marcus, the bar quickly became the hub of our wedding weekend. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and we are so grateful for his effort in making it so memorable. If you’re lucky enough to have Marcus as your bartender, you’re in for an exceptional time!
We absolutely loved staying at both La Siesta and Amara Cay. Definitely make sure you get an ocean front room and order from room service. The food is fantastic overall it’s a very relaxing. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. The water taxi is the best and all the free amenities. We can’t wait to come back next year!!
We loved our stay at Amara Cay. The property is quaint, beautiful and in a perfect location close to great restaurants. Our absolute highlight was the Fish Like a Local activity with Patrick. Our sons spent 3 hours on the dock with him and caught about 6 fish their first time really fishing. One is 5 and has never spent so much time on a single activity in his life. Patrick was amazingly kind, fun and exuded a true passion for what he does. We each can’t stop raving about him and how he truly made our trip so memorable. We will be sure to be back and hope to spend additional time fishing with Patrick.
We stayed at this hotel over Thanksgiving break and it was great. But most of all, our captains Mike and Ryan who shuttled the boat to the other hotels were amazing. They were so cool and made our boat ride so enjoyable. That’s the coolest thing to have at a hotel especially cuz it’s free. (don’t forget to tip tho!). We will definitely stay here again because of this feature and because of Ryan and Mike!
We recently hosted our wedding at Amara Cay Resort, and it was an unforgettable experience! The wedding staff, including Allison, Cece, Mikael, Richard, and Seth, went above and beyond to ensure everything was absolutely perfect. Their helpfulness and friendliness made the event and our entire week truly amazing.A special shoutout to Marcus, the hotel bartender, who was incredibly outgoing and personable. He not only recommended great drinks but also made an effort to greet us whenever he saw us, adding such a personal touch to our stay.Thank you, Amara Cay, for making our wedding and stay so wonderful!
Great resort. Customer service was on point. Kid friendly. The restaurant on premise was amazing as well. Highly recommend stopping here. True island vibe. Parking was easy.
Husband and I stayed for our honeymoon. Phenomenal hotel. Shuttle between the three resorts was everything! Being able to see / try food from different locations was amazing. We watched Scott preform while watching the sunset at the tiki bar. Room was spacious and clean! Check in could have been a little better but understood sometimes you just can’t check in early. Was able to use the amenities while waiting. We got texts the day before, during and after from Amber which was nice. Continental breakfast would be the only thing I’d add!!!
We just stayed at the resort for half the week.. we loved it! The staff is very friendly and everytime we texted room service for food or anything else we needed they were there fast with no problem! We enjoyed eating breakfast and dinner at the reel catch a few times which the food was excellent! We used the kayaks and went fishing with Patrick who was amazing!! Such a nice guy!! Also enjoyed taking the rum runner over to three waters for lunch and shuttle service was nice to use too! The only thing which was maybe more of a communication thing.. we were charge an extra $100 a day without being told.. you could use it for food or drink at the resort which was nice to just pay with our room number but I would have liked to know that when we checked in!
