Best WLM Reviews
Amalfi’s offers authentic and delicious Italian cuisine served in a cozy ambiance. The salads were flavorful and delicious. The entree - Norwegian halibut was tasty but the portion was on the light side. The limoncello dessert was simply delectable. I can’t wait to return.
Was it expensive? Yes. Was it delicious? Hell yes. I know this is a delay review, but I will say they made the best damn risotto I've tasted. It was a halibut risotta that's not on menu for that day, and it was buttery, flavorful and creamy. I'd drop big buck and drive the distance again if I have a craving strong enough
This place has a nice atmosphere and great Italian dishes. I will return to have more of their nice dishes. I tried the grilled octopus and the pistaccio raviolli and they were well cooked.
A nice gem in Houston for an Italian gem .
I think this place is great, it feels genuinely Italian. However, it can get very loud on a Friday/Saturday evening, and unfortunately had a bad experience the last time I ordered gluten free pasta. The taste of my dish was great but the texture of the pasta was clearly overcooked.
My first visit to the restaurant was enjoyable. The food taste was like real Italian food that I experienced in Italy. Service was extremely good and professional. The waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and food ingredients. The place was little small and ambiance was not as good as the food and the service. I highly recommend this place if you want to taste Italian food.
when we walked in the place was packed. I did not except it to be so packed but it was a saturday night. the owner sat us and was friendly. our waiter was awesome. he was personable and checked in often.
the wine I chose was incredible and my bf went with a red he always gets. both great.
to start we shared the artichoke salad. wow! so refreshing. the burrata with the olive oil worked so well with the veggies. I didn’t think I liked artichokes but this was great.
for entrees I have the ravioli and it was not heavy, it worked so well. it was light and enjoyable. my bf had the spaghetti with clams and he liked it! I tried some and it was different but in a good way.
we shared some tiramisu and my bf loved it.
over all the decor was not overwhelming it worked nicely with the theme. I loved this restaurant and can’t wait to go back.
food is exceptionally authentic, and every dish we ordered was nothing short of amazing. love the variety of options for branzino; an exceptional wine list; intimate ambiance. it’s an unassuming spot from the outside — be sure to check it out.
Went yesterday for Valentine's Day lunch. Read reviews. Made a reservation. It was 1pm and still busy. We ordered the 3-course lunch + grilled octopus. The main reason I chose Amalfi was for the octopus.
We'd had moist, very tender "pulpo" in sauce in Spain, and I wanted to taste that deliciousness again!
As soon as the octopus came out, I put aside my first course and focused on that! Letting it sit would not be a good thing. Grilled being the only choice, the meat was firmer but so richly flavored that my husband took a few pieces before sitting back as I went for it!
The salad was a decent size. The house-made pasta was nice. The prettily presented chocolate mousse was yummy. I will say that if we hadn't ordered the octopus, I would have still been a touch hungry.
The service was good. The surroundings were lovely. We should come back for dinner.
