Best WLM Reviews

I had a really nice time at Amakara. The sushi selection is fantastic, and their wings are seriously awesome! It’s a lively spot, but still very kid-friendly, which was a big plus for us. The staff were super friendly and the service was spot on. All in all, a great place to enjoy a meal with the family. Definitely worth a visit!
Expensive yet worth every penny! The sushi, appetizers, and drinks were all delicious and we ate every last bite. It was my first time trying Takoyaki and man, I would order it again and again. Just be aware that it is a small-ish restaurant and very popular so you’d expect a decent wait time. We put ourselves on the waitlist and were told about an hour but got in much earlier.

Lunch service with the family
Sake and cocktails - the strawberry gin one was great !
The soft shell crab appetizer was yum, the edamame was a hit with the kids as well
Kids enjoyed their “kids” Ramen - portion was generous - the ice cream with the kids ramen was a welcome addition
The sushi rolls are legit, the fish was fresh - minor nit - some of the cuts of the fish on top of rolls could be thinner
We will be back
Food is good in general. The spicy sesame wings are crunchy but just ok. The taste is not memorable and the breading is a lil much.
Ramen was decent. Sushi was good. Takoyaki had lots of fish flakes on top, which was great. But the piece of octopus is very small.
Reallly yummy sushi and drinks. I also liked the interior design of the restaurant. It was neat to see the drinks display and art. I can’t wait to come back.
We ordered the Saba and Hamachi bite rolls, along with the Beef Teriyaki. For drinks, we had the cucumber mojito and sake. The Saba was fresh and flavorful, while the Hamachi bites were a perfect blend of taste and texture. The Beef Teriyaki was tender and well-seasoned. The cucumber mojito was refreshing and balanced, and the sake added an authentic touch to the meal. The ambiance was relaxing, and the service was prompt and friendly. Overall, we were very satisfied with the whole experience and would definitely return!
Probably the best sushi in town. There’s always a long line during dinner time, so we usually opt in for lunch.
Grilled edamame is a must here. And if you like sashimi, then go for chirashi. And if you’re a ramen person, try their dry ramen. Sooo good!
Parking can be a problem, but you can find some available spots inside the structure.
I finished four glasses of water, their water is really good and does not have the tap water taste that some other restaurants’ waters have. It also has a slight sweet aftertaste. Their food is always delicious, like the name of the restaurant suggests, which describes the balance of sweetness and saltiness in Japanese. Their plating is beautiful and their portions are pretty big. Likewise, their service is also great but since they are often very busy, the waiters do fewer check-ins. The only downside would be the long wait times, which are reasonable for the quality and value of the restaurant, which are excellent. I would recommend getting on the Yelp waitlist or checking it 30 minutes before you plan to arrive or maybe earlier depending on the day (you have to be within 5 miles of the restaurant to waitlist) and check-in when you arrive. Overall, I definitely would recommend this restaurant.
