Had high expectations because it was recommended to us various times. We started off with arancini which were cold on the inside. The margherita pizza had such a good flavor but lacked cooking time. It felt underdone. Their bread is delicious!!! No complaints there. The tagliatelle dish was served with fettuccine and tasted like a can of chef boyardee. The gnocchi tasted boring and overall the dish lacked flavor. Would not recommend unless you are strictly going for drinks and pizza!
This place was such a lovely surprise! I hadn't been and didn't really look into it before going, but the food was fabulous, definitely reminded me of the pizza in Napoli! The servers and atmosphere were great too, I would definitely go again.
Incredible, authentic Neapolitan pizzas. Very good dough. So glad to find such authentic and tasty Neapolitan pizzas in New Jersey.

Great atmosphere and perfect little spot for a relaxing lunch/dinner. Don’t be surprised if you spot a local celebrity there! Food was delicious, service was great… we basically had a delicious 5 course meal with cocktails and expresso for about $100 a person. We loved it and can’t wait to go back!
Great authentic Italian. Got there around 5:30 and the place was already packed. Reservations are recommended. We got 2 pizzas and 2 pastas along with calamari and the caprese for appetizers. Food is amazing although service was quite slow for the pasta. Overall, this place was great though.
I recently visited Ama Restaurant in Hillsborough, NJ, and had an outstanding experience. The pizza was simply incredible—perfectly baked with a deliciously crispy crust and rich, flavorful toppings. Each bite was a delight, and it’s clear that they use high-quality ingredients.
The service was equally impressive. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. They were quick to address any needs and provided excellent recommendations.

The drinks, pizza and desserts are all delicious! There’s indoor and outdoor seating, plenty of parking and the service is great! Will definitely return!
After two years, AMA Pizza Italian Restaurant still stands as one of the best, if not the best, dining experiences in New Jersey. It’s hard to single out any one dish because everything on the menu is outstanding. However, my personal favorites dishes are: calamari fritti, bruschetta di melanzane, Pizza Capricciosa, tagliata di manzo caffè e gelato.
