I recently visited Alviso Marina County Park and was absolutely blown away by the stunning views, especially during sunset. The park offers beautiful, expansive landscapes, perfect for nature photography and quiet reflection. The sunsets here are breathtaking, with vibrant hues of orange and pink reflecting off the water, creating a peaceful and serene atmosphere.
The walking trails are great for a relaxing stroll, and the park is generally well-maintained. It’s also a great spot for bird watching, as I saw plenty of wildlife while walking along the marsh.
If you’re into photography or just looking for a peaceful outdoor spot to relax, I highly recommend a visit during sunset.
10/21/24 Monday we should have come little early before sunset. Excellent place to spend time with friends and family, go for a walk, jogging.
Color of pink pond, white salt, sunset looks gorgeous. Will come back soon.
We visited when the sun was setting. The salt pond only gave out a reddish color near the sunset. Before that, the water was more bluish white.
The scenery was breathtakingly beautiful, but I recommend no sandals here. The sand was solid hard and the ground was not perfectly flat. It was quite bumpy so it’s better to wear sport shoes.
Beautiful Park very close to the city. The park has a lot of trails you can explore. It could be pretty isolated too depending on when you visit. Perfect place for a evening stroll and to watch a sunset. The skies are beautiful. There are some birds in the park so it's good for birding. You can also see dark pinkish water right by the parking lot where there are salt flats. It was a nice walk as well but be careful of the wet areas close to the water. When I went today some of the park was under renovation so only one side of the park was open to explore. They close the park right after sunset so be aware of that. It's a good scenic place to spend an evening.
A serene place to visit on early weekend mornings. The Pink salt water lake provides a beautiful view. There are different trails for people interested in exploring.
Pets are prohibited here so that is one downside. There is also a boating area if you have a personal canoe.
The best place to watch the sunset is just breathtaking and amazing to see, we would highly recommend going 1-2 hours before sunset so you can walk around the pink salt lake a little and take some cool photos and enjoy the beautiful view and watch the sun setting down.
Nice quiet place to stop by when you in San Jose. There is a nice bike and walk trail for nature and a salt sea side to view. Beside that not really much to see. If you Lucky you might spot a bird ????.
We went by on a weekday afternoon after Topgolf visit since this place is 4 mins drive from there.
There were a few people there taking pictures no doubt lured here by the same Instagram posts as us. The ‘park’ is clean, parking seemed plenty (not sure what the crowds would be like on a weekend) and the color of the water is surreal! There was a smell when we got out of the car… maybe from the fertilizer from the farm next door?? There were signs posted about an infection - see my pics… the marshlands are beautiful as you walk up to the ‘shoreline’ and there are these cute cutouts set up that make for great pics. There doesn’t seem to be a trail of any significant length around. The kids were definitely impressed by the colors and we spent some time discussing salt making and the history of salt. If you have kids that enjoy these kinds of things, it’s definitely worth a visit.
