We appreciate room upgrade. There are some issues I hope staff is aware of and will take care of. Guy at front desk was friendly and helpful.
Stayed here after having to reschedule a flight at SJC airport. The motel is not among the closest to the airport, but still reasonably close enough, & is reachable by VTA bus (transfer required).
Price was reasonable for the area, I paid $104/night, after taxes and fees.
The room had a faint stale-cigarette-smoke scent to it, otherwise it was clean. The staff were friendly and helpful.
DO NOT BOOK ALURA INN!
I have been a loyal Priceline customer for over 10 years, using their platform to book hotels, flights, and rental cars without issue—until my recent stay at Alura Inn in Northern California. Priceline offered Alura Inn as a “top-rated” hotel, and trusting their recommendation, I booked it. After a 9-hour drive, we arrived, only to be completely shocked. The room was absolutely disgusting—filthy from top to bottom. The bathroom was unsanitary, the standing bath was unbearable, and the curtains were so dirty you didn’t even want to touch them! Worse still, the room smelled like humidity and dead fish, making it unbearable to stay in.
I immediately contacted Priceline to resolve this issue and asked for a new hotel. They requested photos, which I sent immediately. Their response? “It’ll take a few days to get back to you.” A few days?! I had no choice but to book another hotel out of pocket (again, using Priceline).
Three days later, Priceline’s response was that they couldn’t do anything about it. No refund, no support, nothing. After more than 10 years of being a loyal customer, this is how they treat you. Absolutely unacceptable.
If you’re considering Alura Inn or trusting Priceline’s “top-rated” hotel picks, DON’T.
Save your time, money, and sanity. You’ve been warned. Alura Inn is the worst!
Great for the price. I walked in at midnight and got a room for less than $90 total (plus $50 deposit). Clean, outlets worked, plenty of hot water, did't see any bugs, bed was comfy.
Waiting 10+ mins no one is at front desk. I found staff entrance and started asking for help and extremely rude staff upset that I didn’t just wait an unknown amount of time.
On top of that they charged an extra $10 for second car parking… truly terrible experience at this place would not recommend.
Very nice staff - especially the young lady at the front desk, who allowed me to check in at 1:30pm (90 minutes early). Housekeeping staff is super nice. Was pleasantly surprised by the room - nice bed, fridge, microwave, modern shower. Felt quite safe. Admittedly the place is a bit of a dump, and the room showed its age. The adjacent restaurant (Mexican) was good but a bit overpriced. All-in-all I feel I received excellent value.
Great location conveniently close to the Mineta airport, Downtown SJ and Milpitas. It is a quaint little property nestled next to a Mexican restaurant and near a 24hr gas station/convenience store.
The price was right and cheaper than most hotels in the area but there is a $50 deposit.
The reviews had me a little worried about the facility conditions but after seeing my room I was pleasantly surprised and relieved. My room was in great quality and working order.
There was No nasty, sleezy feel to it and I trusted having my young kids here. Even Though there is an interesting mix of visitors some good some "bad", this was a great space for a family and some rooms also have kitchens which is great for an extended stay.
I deducted one star for service because eventhough my trash was changed daily after placing outside, the housekeeping moved like ninjas by my room. They did not once ask if I needed any service during my entire stay even after asking. I then was threatened to be charged for soiled linens that I requested to change days prior. Internet was solid but kind of spotty at times.
Regardless, Kudos to the kind office team Jose and Mayra who were very understanding and attentive during my visit. I highly recommend this place for a budget stay in this area that is in a central location close to freeway and other local attractions like Great Mall, PayPal Park and SJSU. The price/great quality rooms are enough to make me return but the stellar customer service by office managers alone is the cherry on top. Please don't hesitate to visit this location!
Extremely friendly staff and so helpful.
I had my service dogs with me and manager reached out to warn me no pet policy ????
As soon as I informed him that our dogs are friendly and serviced, he understood and kindly ask me to please come down to office so that we can go over pet document and sign. Once I came down I was warmly welcome and process was quick and easy. ????
Signed documents and my family and serviced animals welcomed!
Thank you for such a great stay and outstanding service. Will stay again and let others know what a great experience we had.
