Best WLM Reviews
We loved this place. Friendly, excellent service. The food was amazing and flavorful. We'll definitely be returning!
I have been craving empanadas for two weeks and finally had a moment. Googled what was near by and decided to give this place a try.
The empanadas were cooked very well but lacked the most important part, flavor. And then I wasn’t even given any sauce! Craving unsatisfied ☹️
Next I saw they had arepas on the menu and item I’ve been on the hunt for good ones in Jax. Seems I can only find good ones in Orlando and further south. My arepa was so dry and hard and also flavor less I could barely bite it and I couldn’t chew it up to save my life. The beef inside well cooked but lacking again the most important part. Other than HOLY SALT!
Also ordered bbq wings for my husband basic with soggy fries that tasted like they were microwaved.
Unsatisfied, still hungry, wasted money, now I’m sad.
Shout out to this place. Seriously you should check it out. The food, flavors, quality, service and generally fun atmosphere.. it’s like a party inside! The server was helpful explaining the dishes and helping us choose the most authentic Colombian food and even gave us background of the regions each type it from. They definitely will get a return visit.. can’t wait to eat through this menu and learn about such a lovely culture!
We were looking for a “local” restaurant to try while we were visiting the Jacksonville area and found several restaurants in this plaza. We decided to try Al Toque because I saw they had churrasco on the menu. We arrived around 2:30pm on a Thursday (in between lunch and dinner hours) and we were the only customers. We were immediately greeted upon entering and the atmosphere was very inviting with salsa music placing and a soccer game playing on a screen they had set up. We were served a mini cup of soup as a sample and it was so good that my boyfriend ordered it for his meal. We also tried aguapanela for the first time and it was delicious. The service and food were excellent! If we lived in the area, this would be a restaurant we would frequent on a regular basis. We were informed that they have “Colombian Parties” on Saturday nights so we might have to make it back sometime on a Saturday to check it out.
Incredible experience. Darwin’s service was 10000/10. Very peaceful environment, music was loud enough which I always love. Food was soooo good I had Sancocho???? I am Colombian and THEY HAVE POKER!!!! Couldn’t be happier. Will definitely come back next week ????
We both enjoyed our dishes. It’s definitely tasty food! The service was quite slow yet friendly. I’m not sure how long they have been around, but hopefully they can improve on a few things like hiring more help in the dining area, first. The kabobs were good, but the salad could have been a higher quality lettuce and another potato or two for what we paid. I really liked the lime dressing they put on the salad. My husband was super full from his giant plate of food. Also, they have a fun variety of sauces. We liked the hot sauce and the green Mayo based ones the best.
Honestly the best Colombian food I’ve ever had! I had the Bandeja Paisa, and it was absolutely delicious!! Everything had so much flavor. My partner had the Perro Caliente and she enjoyed it as well. The atmosphere of the place is nice, and the service was good. Only complaints would be that the food does take a bit of time to come out, but it’s worth the wait, and the place is slightly warm, had to take off my jacket, but besides that would for sure recommended trying this place out, Will be back!!
DELICIOUS burgers, excellent service and great atmosphere. Our server, Geraldine was really attentive and made sure we had everything we needed.
My only SUGGESTION: please add beer on tap, since it will make your already savory burgers even more delicious.
