Had the most amazing evening here. Our 52nd anniversary was so special because Casey Black, the owner and host makes you feel like you’re visiting her home. Great food and service, (Luna is awesome!) We were serenaded by Casey and Bruce on the piano. What a duo! Can’t wait for our next visit.
This restaurant is top notch. The food was outstanding! I am super picky with my marinara and they delivered. My family ordered apps, and entrees, like chicken and veal parm, and scampi and they were all delicious. There were no leftovers. We were celebrating a birthday and the owner made it so special. She came out to our table and introduced herself. She gave us alittle background about herself. We exchanged on our end. We had lovely desserts. She then sang to me and had the entire restaurant join in. She has a wonderful sense of humor. Even her hug was genuine at the end of the night. I can’t stop thinking about this birthday celebration. Casey, we will be back! You knocked it out of the park! Thank you so much!
I always love the atmosphere with the cherry wood and the piano. It has that New York Italian vibe. I love that the servers sing too. They should play music during intermission. I ordered the chicken Romano and it was a wee bit salty. My friend ordered the gorgonzala steak and honestly it's not worth the money. Flavorless, small portion, and the veggies were over done. However, the snails have always been great and we tried the goat salad. The goat salad was AMAZING!! I would order it again!
Do not order the Linguine Carbonara. There is no meat or greens and looks nothing Iike the picture. I waited 1.5hrs for this and was extremely disappointed, they have no business charging $25 for some noodles and cream that tastes worse than a lean cuisine. Not a good showing for our birthday dinner. Only redeeming factor were the pianist and singer.
A very unique place to dine in Roswell/Alpharetta. Dining here is really more of a dining experience because it includes a wonderful “show” that you would get back in the 50’s/60’s where the performers are very talented, interact with the diners and are more than just music in the background. The food is incredible with a great variety of authentic Italian dishes. Servers are very attentive and allow you time to dine; plan to spend 2-2.5 hours for your meal; unheard of in Roswell/Alpharetta restaurants. We enjoyed it immensely!
The ambiance was interesting. The food was presented well but not the quality we expected. The service was not attentive, had to ask for drinks multiple times however there were several people available. We had several items from chicken pastas, raviolis, shrimp and various salads. The piano bar is a unique set up. There are a few servers who can really sing, one young later was really good but only sang one song.
We were greeted by the new owner, Casey, and she was wonderful! Staff was great, service was quick and they accommodated us even thought we came in right before the kitchen closed. Michael Carlton King performs on Tuesdays and he was great! We really enjoyed our experience tonight and will definitely be back even though we do not live in Georgia. The lasagna was amazing, so try that first!
Wow! Where to begin? We should have known when we walked in at 7:00 o'clock on a Friday night and there were literally only 4 tables occupied in the whole place that something was amiss, but we soon found out the hard way. First, the waiter brought us no water or even asked if we'd like some. We split a salad that took an extraordinarily long time to get, and then after we finished our salads we had to wait another 15-20 minutes for our entrees. I sat there the entire time without a single refill on my tea. In the interim, our waiter decided he'd see if he was any better at singing than waiting tables. He thought he was Michael Jackson, but sounded more like a cat with it's tail caught in a fan belt. To say that the food was mediocre at best is a real stretch. It tasted like a frozen Stouffers lasagna with Ragu poured on it, but the best part was the price. They charged us $8 to split a $16 entree salad. We could have just ordered 2 side salads for $8/piece and saved ourselves the $8 upcharge. What a ripoff for poor service and below average food. Then they had the nerve to add a service fee to the bill. Are you kidding me? I've lived in Alpharetta my entire life and Altobeli's used to be a good restaurant but those days have long passed. It can now only attract people in the immediate area who have cataracts and can't drive at night and remember it as a good place to eat way back in the day. Don't waste your time or more importantly your money to be overcharged for well below average Italian food. There are exponentially better Italian restaurants in the Alpharetta/Roswell/John's Creek area. Let me know if you need some recommendations.
