Best WLM Reviews

First time here…very nice restaurant with super nice staff and friendly hometown cooking. I had the brunch buffet, ham, chicken, roast beef, collards, etc. salad excellent. Prices reasonable. Very clean and a super fun place to be. About ten people said hello, good afternoon to me who I’ve never met before. Can’t wait to try the breakfast. Big Thanks!
The food was good although they do things a bit different than many. Our server was pleasant and the place seems clean.
Lunch Buffet was homemade and delicious!!! Especially loved the fried chicken and field peas.
Bathrooms and baseboards could use a good cleaning. That’s why I gave them only 4 stars for atmosphere.
Service person was very good, but they had her working too many tables to be as great as she could have been.
Overall, we can’t wait to go back for the breakfast buffet!
The food was very tasty and affordable. My mom got the blackened shrimp and scallops, which were phenomenal. The portion is also huge. The salad bar is well stocked. And the Philly cheesesteak I got was also very good. The meat was great quality. Definitely a nice change after driving for days and eating only fast food.
I was looking for food along the highway. Thought it's really odd that this restaurant has sucth high rating on Google Maps. Well, it's well deserved.
The service is not great but the food is excellent.
If you're in the mood for some fried catfish and chicken, this is the place to get them. The corn wasn't overcooked, and the squash side was perfectly sauteed. Not a healthy place to eat at often but definitely worth getting off the highway for.
Either stay for the plentiful buffet, or grab a box to go for $13.
I ordered a bacon cheeseburger. They asked me how I would like it cooked and I said medium. I’m thinking oh boy a nice fresh hamburger patted out for me. What I got was a burnt frozen crispy beef patty? Even the bun was burnt to the point it was black. I guess my question is how do they even serve that? How does the cook even send that out knowing it’s black and burnt ? no, I did not send it back. I was starving and I was afraid of what might happen if I sent it back, if you know what I mean. So at least I had the french fries right, Nope, they were cold, they were probably sitting there waiting for the chef to burn my frozen meat patty. I am so glad I didn’t get the $40 steak. Can you imagine what he would’ve done to that. you need a new chef, he doesn’t know how to cook or manage food. I got chicken tenders for my dogs so when I got home, I was like oh boy I get to eat a chicken tender. They were hard no flavor but at least they were edible. My dogs really did enjoy them. I would never come here or recommend this place to anyone.
I happen to come across this restaurant while working in the area. I had never been in the area before but notice right away the semi trucks that were stopped off the side of the road to be able to grab food from here. And the parking lot of full of cars, local and out of town. The restaurant is just off I95. Once going inside you are greeted with the amazing smell of home cooked food, friendly wait staff and a homey feel. They offer food from the menu or a lunch buffet which is what I got. The food was all seasoned perfectly. There was a salad bar section too. I would absolutely recommend the fried chicken. It was fried to perfection and just as juicy inside. I actually got a to go box to bring some of that homemade cooking back to my parents who do not drive. They both enjoyed it just as much as I did. I would suggested stopping if you are traveling in the area. Stop and enjoy a wonderful home cooked meal. And the prices were great too. I can not wait to go back.
Moved to the area And wanted to try out a local restaurant. I’m so glad my husband chose this place. Amazing salad bar & the hot bar was great too. Think it was the best catfish I ever had. Can’t beat their prices for that amount of food. I see why so many people go there. Highly recommend for locals and travelers.
