Walked in on a busy mid morning at around 10:45am. A table was cleaned for me and I was seated. It took a little time for a waiter to finally ask for my order, but the food came out timely and delicious. I’ll break things down one by one. The fül, which is essentially a fava bean dish that’s crushed into a mush, is their specialty. It’s actually delicious and hard to find like this. I ordered the hummus with beef chunks, but it looks like I got ground beef instead. I asked for confirmation on if it was beef chunks or ground beef, and I was reassured it was beef chunks. Okay… the tea was excellent and on point. Very delicious flavor. The complimentary veggie sides included pickles, mint, tomato, and onion. The marinated olives were way too salty. All in all, this simple meal cost me about $38, tip included. It’s criminal to charge almost $40 for hummus and fül. In a fair world, this meal would cost $25 at most. But $38? Ridiculously expensive. Finally, after finishing my meal and waiting a while, I had to motion to the cashier to send a waiter to give me the bill. Overall, Altayeb has good food and great portions, but the service was slow and it’s way overpriced. I wouldn’t go back.
I tried the fattah with lamb tongues and musabbaha.. and the taste was absolutely incredible.. with fresh ingredients and perfectly balanced flavors..as if I were in Lebanon. I’m not exaggerating when I say the flavor is beyond exceptional, especially after trying dozens of other places
Moreover, the service is fast, and the staff is extremely friendly and exceptionally generous. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic flavors and outstanding service
Casual family style ambiance with excellent table customer service. Generous portions, lovely tea pot for the table, great recommendations from server and many options for all palates. Tasty dishes, filling and prices are reasonable. Highly recommend if you wish to get an idea of Lebanese breakfast spread.
My friends came from out of town and we decided to go to Al Tayeb for brunch and everything was fresh and delicious. We also ordered a pot of red tea and it was ok, I would recommend they add cardamom and cloves to it. Service was outstanding though so we’ll be back soon! Thank you.
This place is great ???? they are known as a breakfast joint, but Middle eastern breakfast is later in the day more like a brunch. Their claim to fame is the bowl of fool (fav beans). It is outstanding. The closest thing you can get to the middle east. It's more of a Jordanian and Palestinian style. They also give you complimentary bowl of hummus (chick peas) which is great. They have a full breakfast selection just make sure you arrive before 3 or 4 PM because they close after that. The service is great and it's usually packed on the weekends.
AlTayeb is a hidden gem in Dearborn! Their breakfast is absolutely incredible. The flavors are bold and authentic, and the portions are generous. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is cozy. Whether you're a fan of traditional Lebanese breakfast or looking to try something new, AlTayeb is definitely worth a visit.
Really great food just like overseas. Best thing we had was the cheese makdous, service was quick and the kitchen looked very clean
Delicious Lebanese Breakfast/Brunch Place. Never had an arab Restaurant with so many vegetarian dishes. Ful- mashed fava beans and chickpeas with citrus was my highlight. The Fete Lebna was delicious too.
Space is overcrowded all the time. Plan some waiting time.
