Best WLM Reviews
We stayed for three night in the Alpine Inn & Suites.
When checking inn we talked to one of the two receptionists (the older one) who was a bit hard to understand. He then gave us the key for the room which had a rather small queen size bed for two persons (which is not the hotel's fault).
We quickly asked to upgrade our room so that we get two beds. The younger receptionist took over and gave us a bigger room for the next two days - that was really nice of him although, of course, we had to pay 80$ more for both nights together.
We then had two rooms with one bed each which wasn't too bad. Both rooms were very warm and only one of them, the bigger one, had an air-conditioning that didn't really work.
The bathroom was alright but the water didn't drain too well in the sink as well as in the shower.
When we checked out it was not at all a problem to leave our luggage in the hotel so we could come and get it after finishing our daily activities in San Francisco.
Parking costs 10$ per day which is okay. So the first day they deducted 80$ (parking+ 50$ deposit). After leaving we only got back 30$ deposit and we have no idea what happened that they didn't give us back the full 50$.
The hotel is located in Daly City, not in San Francisco, so if you want to visit the city, you have to plan some time to get there. Good thing was that it always felt safe there.
I work the Cow Palace for multiple events. The rates and location are perfect.Staff is friendly and helpful when need be, otherwise, you won't really see them. This is the only place I stay when I come down here.
I’ve stayed here many times and each and every time has been pleasant. The manager here is amazing! He’s always been extremely kind and professional. The rooms have always been clean and comfortable. There is a $10 parking fee but you are able to park right in front of your room which is great.
Good price. Roms are clean. Doesn't smell.
But
Bathroom Doesn't have a door or cortain u will make a mess.
You will have to pay for parking
The rooms are cute and spacious. I love the fact that there are separate rooms within the room itself. As expected, the rooms are old and some of the furniture looks like it's breaking apart. I always look for bedbugs and didn't find any, but the mattresss looked very old and dirty. The sheets were clean, and I'm not sure if it was the detergent or the washer, but they had a musty old smell mixed with detergent. The room did smell a bit as if someone had smoked in it previously and the minute I walked in, I could smell the cleaning products they used...very strong.
It was strange because there was no one in the front desk and there was a Virtual staff member always available.
I'm glad it had a microwave and refrigerator, but my microwave wasn't working at all. When I tried to call the operator through the room phone, it seemed to cut off. Suddenly, the wire from the phone just disconnected and the call dropped, when I tried to call again, the staff member yelled at me asking me why I kept calling and hanging up without saying anything. I told her that if they had kept up with their facilities, then the phone would work properly and there would be no issues of the call dropping or phone signal.
Anyways, she said she was busy and would call me back about the microwave...she never did. I gave up and just ordered doordash.
It is a quiet area and I like that each room has their own parking space right in front of the room. I would only recommend it if you have an event at the Cow Palace and don't want to worry about driving back home. Otherwise, don't...the area is not very pretty, nor does it seem to be very safe.
Some people have left bad reviews but that was not my experience. Checking in and out was fairly easy. The room is not luxury but it was clean, no dirt or mold at all. Everything worked. The bed was comfortable and had new sheets. Quite location, good value. Great for Cow Palace.
The room was clean, refrigerator leaked,
The phone didn't work.
We had to pay for parking, which was not in the booking information.
The price was double what the booking online price was, with no explanation. We paid it. We arrived at 9pm. We felt like there was no other option at that point! Shiesty!
It's not a place I'd book again! Not at the price we paid!
The truth is only because I needed somewhere to stay last night and all the hotels were full but this place really smells bad the beds creak because they are old. The price is 100 dollars a night with parking but the discomfort of the room was the worst because even though we only wanted it to go to sleep it was a heavy night not being able to move anywhere because that bed creaked too much without exaggerating bad experience I hope others have it better but do not publish lies since many times we are guided by the comments we see was my case
