We had lots of fun at this place having beer and margaritas with the river side view of the people tubing in the chatahoochee river. The veggie burger was really nice too. They had a Monday trivia at the time which was fun too.
Food is tourist trap meh. We had chicken strips w fries and the mac/chz bites. I can warm up better from home. Margaritas were okay. Service was good. She was really sweet. Atmosphere was good and fun with live karaoke. Not sure why this place rated 4.2. Looks fluffy to us. Owners don’t seem concerned about return customers. $36 for chic strips, fries, tea, margarita. Great vacation getaway all German themed
Right off the strip and overlooking the river, this is an open and airy place, lots of tables and the best seating is a bar running its length along the river. The Mozzarella sticks were very good. The Alpine Burger was excellent, cooked to perfection on a soft potato bun. The house salad was a good portion, add the chicken, it’s worth it. Angel was the server and deserves a shout out. The place was clean. FYI The middle of April is the perfect time to visit Helen. Not crowded, perfect weather, very calm.
This place is not that bad, just a few adjustments and this place could be great. The wonton Pamento cheese bites were delicious, but I would expect more than 4 for $14. Wife had the Traditional wings. They were so small for the again the amount of money paid (look at picture). I had the Fried shrimp. They again were tasty but they were awfully small and only one hush puppy.. our waiter was a great guy from California and made a mean margarita.
Listen. The location is wonderful. But the restaurant itself needs a reality check. $20 for a basic burger. $18 for chicken nuggets dumped out of a freezer bag. I guess because of the location they can get away with these prices? They have such a great opportunity to create great unique food, but they’re serving school cafeteria food.
Check the menu before deciding on this restaurant. Know you are getting very expensive basic food. It’s not gourmet. It’s price gouging. Helen has better places. It’s not worth it I promise.
I think the wings and Thai sweet chili sauce were added so much that the chicken wasn't crispy. But it was delicious.
