Incredibly pleased, had a great connection with staff, the atmosphere is nostalgic and happy! Pizza was sooo yummy! The extra fresh dill adds the perfect touch! The mozzarella sticks was tasty too! 10 outta 5 stars!
It took my best friend from Seattle here because I saw this place on Instagram post. We were not disappointed in the least. The atmosphere was amazing, full of nostalgic 80s items from our childhood. They were playing Conan the barbarian loudly, and the owners could not have been nicer and more welcoming. The rocket is no joke (highly recommend getting ONE), and the fried ravioli was delicious. Highly recommend stopping here.
I was extremely hyped up to try their famous Lightning Rod Mozzarella Sticks. I've tried to come a few times and it didn't work out (I'm out of State) but I made the extra journey and finally snagged one! It really is literally a giant mozzarella stick, no mysteries.
I would say the outer coating feels really thick like bread. The cheese was gooey and perfect. Their pizza sauce is super rich with flavor as well! Fun to try once for sure, though I'm not sure it is better than a classic mozzarella stick.
The DECOR in this tiny spot is super amazing and worth spending time exploring!
What a blast from the past. 70's and 80's themed establishment that will bring back memories if you grew up in that era. Test your skills on the NES and try and beat Mike Tyson on an old school tv. Everyone working are very friendly and enjoy interacting with everyone that walks in.
I ordered a pepperoni pizza and mammoth mozzarella log. Both were very delicious. The pizza crust has a nice crunch and a nice pleasant chew that follows. The sauce has a nice sweet, but robust flavor and the pepperoni's are the cup style. One of my favorites. I will be back for sure.
Interesting place-mozzarella sticks were thick and tasty. The chicken tenders were thin and tasty. Everything was fried hard and did not disappoint.
The food was amazing!! The footlong cheese stick was the best thing Milwaukee can sell!! As a family friend it felt good to support someone we love and cherish! The atmosphere is so welcoming and friendly for everyone!!
We've loved the lightning rod since we first had it during the height of the pandemic. Tonight we had the opportunity to try the pizza. We ordered the Dillorean, BYOP, and the cheesy garlic bread. Y'all I'm pretty sure I had a foodgasm. It's too bad we're from out of town because we would definitely make this a regular stop if we lived around here.
