Best WLM Reviews
Let me start by saying that in general, I very rarely leave bad reviews. I wouldn’t bother with this place, if I were you.
Behold their “lettuce wrap” chicken bacon hamburger. Chicken on their chicken bacon ranch “lettuce wrap” is breaded (not specified on the menu that it was breaded and deep fried) and burnt.
The bacon was burnt and *cold*.
Fries are overcooked.
And their ranch dressing is terrible.
The “lettuce wrap” is puny pile of chopped lettuce.
Also, the girl who took our order was kind of a snit, short with our questions, not friendly at all.
What’s more, service was pretty slow.
To summarize: if you want to be wheat free, screw this place — if you choose to ignore this advice, the be sure to specify that every dang thing you’re ordering is wheat free or else you’ll be stuck with something inedible. And don’t bother complaining about the fact that the food is burnt, cold, and inedible — it won’t do you any good. They did offer to ***sell me something else***. LOL No thank you.
Vick’s Burgers in Sultan is an infinitely better choice.
Leave driven by this place so many times and always wanted to try it. We go ally got the chance to do it and we were not disappointed! Alpen village may be a drive thru/drive in restaurant, but the flavors and food say otherwise! The food was tasty, the portions were great, the prices were affordable and the service was fast!
Husband and I recommend if you are hungry and want to try something new. He had the pawns and oysters, while I had the chicken teriyaki burger. All the flavors blended so well and the staff were efficient and quick with our order.
We also had the mozzarella sticks and onion rings. But the end of the meal we were stuffed and satisfied.
Definitely recommend if you are driving by or nearby and want to try this place out!
I am a fair person and respect small businesses but this place does not deserve to be in business, On a few occasions the meat has been so raw. Today one was undercooked and the other patty tough. The buns are soggy. The people are always rude and I mean RUDE!! They act s though they never make a mistake with the food. We will NEVER eat there again. I would recommend somewhere else like any of the other burger shacks near here. ZERO STARS IS WHAT THIS PLACE DESERVES.
BEST BURGERS, FRIES AND SHAKES EVER! HUGE SERVINGS! By far the best tasting best value food per dollar old style burger stand in Washington state. Get the western burger!! My favorite variation of it by far. This review is coming from a dude who lives off of burgers by the way.
Great menu, great prices, great little spots to sit and eat. Fresh food that was so tasty! We got the mushroom burger, also the coconut shrimp and chips with a chocolate malt. I forgot to take pictures of the food but I got plenty of the grounds surrounding it lol oh and a photo of the menu. They have a loud speaker they call your name on for the order so you won't miss it! The drive through is pretty tall too, I saw a truck hauling a truck on a high trailer pull through it. Definitely worth a stop if you're on your way to Leavenworth or where ever you're headed.
Very good food. Enjoyed the small deluxe burger and friends had an elk and veggie and fries. Even though they were busy, everything was timely and lots of free sitting with cute objects and decoration. I’m sure this is great for after hiking type of food for sure. There’s also a fruit stand nearby so visit that as well the fruit is delicious!
[UPD]: Cold season update. It's not obvious for first-timers but there is a dine-in space. Cozy, warm and clean - right next to the main booth. You can hear order call out from it as well!
My wife and I stopped by tonight for a dinner and to wait out the traffic a bit. Were not disappointed. Burgers are great, juicy but not soggy, perfectly cooked, good balance of flavors, well seasoned but nothing overpowering. Plenty of fries.
We had deluxe and alpen burgers, milkshake and jalapeno poppers. All food was good and it was plenty for the price.
There are some picnic tables nearby you can use if the weather allows it.
My only kind request to the business is to get larger diameter straws for the milkshake. They are delicious but bits of strawberries do get stuck in small straws.
Finally managed to visit again after 5 years. Now I can pass without any regrets ????. Awesome burgers with some crazy good shakes. A must visit if you're in the startup/sultan area! I'd post food pictures if i hadn't already eaten it :( There's also some neat picnic tables right in front and side of it for your enjoyment. Hope its still here in another 5 years ????.
