Best WLM Reviews

Our family thanksgiving trip was awesome. We cannot ask for a better experience. The hotel has the most friendly staff ever. Specially thank you goes to Noa, Jasmine at check-in, Julie, Michah, Belle at the LongBoard Club, whom all make our trip amazing. We really enjoyed the proximity to the beach, the shops and cafes around the corner and the most fantastic view of diamond head and ocean view. ||I was hesitant about booking this hotel from all the other reviews I have read but I think the actual experience has removed any hesitations and doubts. Yes, the rooms are a little dated and the bathroom is a bit smaller. Those are just minor items that do not deter from the overall experience. ||A few things to make the experience better: 1) get the upgrades to the elevated package including the free parking and longboard club. These are must with kids 2) check out the facilities and attend some of the sessions. The tank talk was very educational and the gym is very well equipped.
Amazing experience overall. The location is very central and the hotel is redone. I’ve stayed at a few other hotels in the area and the common areas here are much more modern. The rooms, especially bathrooms, are still a bit dated but much nicer than most other hotels. The service was great overall and we had a great experience at the longboard club and food/drinks on the pool deck. I highly recommend this hotel.
We stayed at Alohilani for a few nights for our honeymoon and moved to another hotel for the rest of our honeymoon. We wish we would have booked our whole stay at Alohilani. I don’t understand the negative reviews. The property is beautiful, the staff is friendly and our room was nice and comfortable with a gorgeous view. The pool level is very nice with nice seating areas. We had longboard club access and thoroughly enjoyed that as well. I definitely want to stay there again.
It was my first time staying in this hotel. At check-in, I asked for a quiet room, preferably on the higher floor. I Was offered to upgrade to a higher floor of which I refused at this time. The receptionist placed me on the fifth floor in the old tower. The fifth floor is where the swimming pools are and my room was Right next to the elevator. Not too great for the quiet room. As soon as I got in the room, I noticed how loud AC system was, and I noticed a very musky almost smell you like smell. I want to use the restroom just to find out there was absolutely no soap and the soap dispenser. The bathroom floor had hair from the previous guests. I called them maintenance and ask her to refill the sub dispenser and clean the bathroom. I had to shut off the AC because it was uncomfortably loud. Couple Of hours later, I started to notice a horrible smell in the room. It just smelled old and dirty. After coming back from lunch, I had the leftover box I wanted to put in the refrigerator. That was food from previous guests in the refrigerator. They never cleaned it out. The whole room felt so outdated and stinky. I could not stand there. I asked to talk to a manager, and they were kind enough to offer me a different room in the same tower Couple of floor Above .The room was definitely Cleaner, but it still feels very outdated. The whole way seems gloomy, and it stinks. I don’t think I will be ever staying here again
This resort is really good at advertising. When my family and I stayed there, for the price you might expect excellent service along with a beautiful atmosphere. That is what you get but only in the lobby, when I made my reservation over the phone, I specifically requested a high floor with double beds and a balcony, that they said they would be able to accommodate. I ended up with a single bed on a low floor. I informed the concierge of the discrepancy, and she was nice but not kind about the situation and said there’s nothing she could do about it in an indifferent way. Honestly, after you’ve checked into your room and paid it’s all down hill from there. The bell boys will hold your luggage, if you’re there before check in, but you have to come down and get them all on your own. In my case when I went to retrieve my family’s bags they handed me the six bags we came with but didn’t offer to take them up for me let alone put them on the luggage cart to at least push it myself. The one good thing they did do during our stay was accommodate our sleeping requirements, by offering a roll away bed free of charge. The pool was nice but over crowded and good luck getting drinks, or food from the pool waiter as he was the only one servicing everyone. I did notice he catered to couples as a priority. It’s best to describe the facility as an apartment complex, that got renovated into a hotel that still could use updating for the price they’re charging. It’s social media hotel at best great for pictures but that’s it. Good thing we booked for only one night as we had other plans that required us to get a different hotel.
My girlfriend and I stayed here for a couple of days in early December and the staff and hotel are pretty incredible. I have to call out Ali’i Garcia who provided such great service on arrival and then told us the next day about the hospitality room that this hotel provides free of charge after you check out to help you get prepared for travel. Live music on the rooftop pool bar every night and the night we were leaving was such a talented guitarist. Lotta nice perks here and great service!
This is the worst hotel! We travel a lot and I have never asked to change rooms and never checked out early from a hotel - here we did both. The first room we were given was VERY damp. You could smell the moisture from the hallway. It was so hard to breathe. The second room was less damp but had SO MUCH mould and dust. My daughters and I had an allergic reaction and my daughter’s asthma flared up terribly in the night. We checked out early and moved to another hotel. I cannot believe this is a five star hotel. They apparently recently renovated the hotel but they only renovated the pool, restaurant and lobby. The rooms are very old and truly horrible.
We had a couple nights stay at the Alohilani Resort and had a fantastic time!
We were there recently mid-November which was a bit slower for them, when we checked in around midnight we were greeted by very friendly staff members.
Without asking we were upgraded to a better room with an amazing view of Diamond Head and the Ocean along with breakfast and the evening wine bar daily and daily housekeeping.
I have to say that the fruit at the breakfast bar was some of the freshest fruit we had in Waikiki, and all of the staff we dealt with from the front desk, to concierge down to house keeping were extremely friendly and attentive.
I've never stayed at a hotel were they asked multiple times how our stay is going and if we need anything to make the stay better, they would also remind us to make full use of the included meals and our hotel credit that we received when we booked.
If anything could be improved, I would like to have had a larger room, but it was just fine for our stay.
I was very impressed with the service here and I would highly recommend the hotel.
