Best WLM Reviews
I was in the mood for some brunch. I have been here before so I decided to return. The staff are all very helpful and kind. Several can speak Japanese also. The food is very delicious and I ordered the non alcoholic whole pina colada, the jerky and Loco Moco. It was all delicious. They have a lot of seating and many menu options to choose from. I highly recommend visiting if you are in Waikiki.
This was a cute restaurant on the second floor that we stumbled upon walking. They had a great atmosphere with quick food service. Our service was friendly.
1. Taste of aloha sampler - everything on this plate was fresh and quality ingredients. The tomatoes were delicious, the shrimp was prepared well and fresh, and the only call out is that it does have the shell on the outside. Which you can choose to eat or remove. (4.5/5 ????)
2. King Locomoco with garlic rice - this dish was delicious, but be prepared it's large. We probably should have ordered a size smaller. It is a heavier style dish, which is good for sharing. (5/5 ????)
I would recommend this place to anyone in the area who wants to try Hawaiian food.
Super cute hole in the wall with classic, tasty Hawaiian dishes and yummy drinks. Great great great staff - so friendly and accommodating.
Awesome cost value ratio especially if you’re traveling in from out of town. This would be an awesome date spot.
Super cute restaurant! Would recommend making reservations. Service was great and fast. We tried the garlic shrimp appetizer, the Loco Moco and a Pineapple Pina Colada. All were very tasty!
We got appetizers here and the pineapple drink. Appetizers were very good and premium tasting - scallop poke was amazing and the garlic fries were delicious and unique.
The main complaint is that the pineapple drink was not good - it was quite pricy (about $30 for the drink), but it tasted like there was no alcohol at all, and it was supposed to be a pina colada, but it just tasted like blended up pineapple (no coconut). It was a really disappointing drink for the price especially.
The food we had was good though, the place looked nice, and the service was good.
Excellent hostess, server and chef! I had the happy hour Spinach salad and Scallops Poke. We shared the edamame and pork nachos. These were appetizer sizes but plenty enough for me and my wife. All were excellent! The atmosphere has a friendly, local vibe. It’s a bistro style focused on high quality, well prepared dishes at reasonable prices. For drinks I had the blue Hawaiian and my wife had the aloha blonde beer (2!????). Everything was 100% as expected except to pork nachos exceeded! The scallop poke had (I think) small caviar which really made it beyond expectation especially for the value. 100% recommended.
They say they have the Best loco moco on the island and I’m inclined to agree. The portion sizes are huge so come hungry. Every bite is an explosion of flavor and they deserve every bit of recognition for their loco moco. Definitely going to be an Oahu staple for us.
We stayed in the building above this and it smelled so good every time we passed. Finally reserved a table and so glad we tried it! We ordered way too much food, but it was really good haha. We had the ribeye steak, which was cooked to perfection (medium, as we requested), topped with a savory garlic butter. It also came with some grilled corn on the side which was incredibly tasty as well. We should have only ordered one side of mash to share, but we got two. They were pretty big and it was fine but nothing special. We also ordered a side of asparagus, and we got a loaded baked potato delivered to our table by accident as well. When we told our server we hadn't ordered it, he let us keep it for free anyway. That was pretty good, I would pick that over the mashed potatoes. I also had the virgin piña colada and that was really good too! This place is pretty pricey, but the ribeye is a cheaper option and sooo good. Really friendly service and if you get a table on the front patio, you get to people watch at the same time. We ate a lot but it was worth it!
