The rooms were clean, and the water pressure in the shower was nice. The bathroom towels were really small, and we were only given two of them. The location was good for us, but the hotel is near the freeway, and we did hear some traffic noise during the night. Over all, a decent economy hotel
Positive: The staff is always extremely nice! Not to mention when you open the door to the room you?re greeted by such a pleasant fragrance. I have not had a bad experience at the Aloha Inn. Negative: Well if I had to pick one thing, I was not fond of the early check in fee. I have stayed many times and I didn?t see why if my room was prepared for my arrival why I would be charged a fee for a couple of extra hours.
The front hall light didn't work, the sliding glass door didn't lock, and beds were highly uncomfortable with lack luster pillows and the water in the shower didn't get hot, warm but not hot. The tub also didn't drain because the stopper wouldn't stay up. My bookings were supposed to be for a disabled accessible ground floor room, they tried to put us on a top floor non disabled room, but eventually swapped us to a downstairs (still wasnt a disabled room.) as two of the three people in my group had bad knees and I myself have an upcoming knee surgery. We checked in at 4pm, our room wasn't ready because the cleaning lady hadn't got to them yet. said they would call when it was ready and never did. We called at 6:30 to find out what happening when the staff attendant at that time thankfully switched our upstairs to a downstairs. There was also no phone in the room to call front desk if something happened.
Very good price/quality ratio compared to other options around pismo and SLO. Front desk called asking our arrival time and whether we wanted ground or second floor. Drive up motel arrangement. Had a bit of a smell on first entering but aired it out in the coastal breeze and it didn't come back--smell of cleaners I guess. Balconies facing the highway get a lot of traffic noise, but the sliding door is thick so the noise was kind of background, it didn't bother the kids sleep. Mini fridge, microwave, and Keurig coffee in the room. Beds and pillows were reasonably comfy and clean, as were towels. Everything is a bit aged but closer to 15 years than 30. 5 minute drive to good food options. No bedbugs (all hard floors probably helps) and no people noise during my summer weekday stay.
I booked a late night reservation with this hotel as I was driving through. The hotel does not look the way it appears on Priceline. The pictures made the hotel look bright, clean and safe. It was anything but. The person who checked me in, wouldn’t even give a description of where my room was. I booked a king bed and instead I had two doubles. I have videos of the room. The electricity was shorting out the entire night. the refrigerator to not work properly, which ruined my medication and food. Room was also dirty. I couldn’t use the coffee maker or the blow dryer. Half of the lights didn’t work. It’s a fire hazard. I’ve never complained about a hotel experience ever. I was told the next morning that I would be issued to refund, but that it would be through Priceline. So I reached out to Priceline and they told me it is actually refunded through the hotel. I would like to know how I can go about getting this refunded as this was an awful experience. I would’ve left had it not been but I was a woman by myself. It was late at night and there were loiterers outside.
Positive: "" Negative: Bugs ..had 2 different rooms. One was very nice other yuk eye sore re walls and ceiling.The location of room was bad - freeway and close road was heard all night and I couldn?t sleep and left early in morning. No one there so put key in box
Positive: "" Negative: Dirty floors and countertops. the electricity did not work in the room; everything was flickering in and out. Could not use outlets. Was unaware fridge wasn?t working and my food and medicine was ruined. Sink was clogged. Never been in a place so gross.
Positive: Decent room. Very nice staff on check in. Hotel accommodated my cat Negative: No hot water in the shower. Since I already set up my cat in the room I opted not to request a room change. I showered at a nearby family's house. Other than the plumbing issue, the room was fine.
