Ono kine grinds (Delicious food). Quick and attentive service. Friendly atmosphere. We had the pulled pork/garlic chicken combo w/ mac salad and kimchi. Get it with white barbecue sauce on the side. It’s an Alabama thing and amazing! Kathy told us about creative menu items like pulled pork nachos but over fries. Gotta try that next time. Also, the kids meals are a good deal and are high quality too. Thanks for the awesome service, Kathy and team! Highly recommend!
I wouldn't consider myself a fish taco connoisseur, but I can say that I was very disappointed in the tastelessness of the ones I got here. They were VERY pretty, as the cabbage had a reddish look to it like kimchi does...my mouth even watered with anticipation. The tortilla was lightly toasted, the fish crispy and hot...and there was such a lack of flavor that I thought I'd suddenly gotten COVID.
To be clear, it did NOT taste bad, but the flavor was like frozen tilapia that's been boiled compared to freshly caught and grilled salmon. My wife's chef salad was unremarkable.
Food so good it will make you cry. The server lemme order the pulled pork mac n cheese even though it isn't on the specials menu today and it is literal perfection. Absolutely the best pulled pork mac I have ever had in my life. Possibly the best meal I have had this year of all the meals I have eaten. Its truly outstanding. Wish I could eat it everyday. Seriously thank you to the staff and cooks????????
This place is so good! The pulled pork and garlic chicken combo is outstanding! The mac & cheese, fries, sweet tea, and corn muffin were the perfect addition to the combo. The prices were so cheap for the quality and quantity of food! The atmosphere is cute, clean, and friendly. Love this place!
I recommend the smoked pork & chicken combo with a side of fries, mac salad, and Kimchi.
Not bad of a selection of hot sauces. I recommend throwing some of the XXTRA garlic habenaro sauce they have on the fries.
Very delicious food!
Nice family restaurant that specializes in making traditional southern BBQ. Where you can mix it up with steamed rice & Hawaiian mac salad to make a Hawaiian-style plate lunch! Being located on the Westport Marina, had to try the fish tacos, which were good! We were there off-season, but can imagine it being super popular during the summer! They have a nice outdoor seating area. Want to go back and try their smoked meats!
I enjoyed my bbq meal. I had the pulled pork with baked beans and coleslaw. Gluten free. My husband did not enjoy his. He got the meal that came with a side of white rice and cabbage. The staff was very kind and helpful. I love that they have gluten-free options. Really really appreciated that.
I did not like having to wait over 40 minutes when there wasn't that many people in the restaurant. And we did not appreciate the cleanliness of the tables around us. Everything just kind of felt grimy even the salt shaker. But we will come back and hope for a better experience next time.
One picture says it all. Both pieces of hand-breaded cod were burnt. And they weren’t even cooked at the same time because they had to make more. Never ate the second piece. At $17, two pieces of burnt disappointment. Meager fries accompanied this overcooked debacle to go with overpriced beers.
