I love their parking is gated, keeps lot from being crowded and overtaken in that downtown area. But spots are tight as gor maneuvering through it. Building definitely is old, but remodeled to reflect a modern hotel. I loved the shower, I wish the microwave could have been in the room instead of downstairs in lobby.
Fridge is strangely under bathroom sink. No drawers. 1 oddly placed light switch turns on toilet, vanity & hall, flooding light into bedroom. No breakfast included. Washers broken on my floor and only took coins. No ATM. Great service, staff was kind and accommodating. Rooms are SPACIOUS. This location is connected to Cox Business Convention Center.
I love staying in downtown Tulsa. This stay was a little strange. To start with I worked a 12 hour shift over night at the local hospital. Exhausted I arrived that morning and had booked the night before and the night after. This way I could have a place to sleep during the day. I understand that there are policies in place. The lady that I spoke to at the reception desk had winged eye liner and told me she was management but gave me a fake name. She did not call me by my name or last name she just began to tell me they canceled my reservation. She was in no way empathetic I thought it was a joke at first. She got very verbally aggressive with me and I was so tired. I said I can just book another night I just need a place to sleep. She said well, can’t help you you’ll have to do it online. I mean this lady was so mean to me I couldn’t believe it. The room she put me in was 404. The bed was infested with bed bugs and I have a huge rash from my wrist to my armpit. I had read reviews that they have had bed bugs but I figured it was an over exaggeration. She was so horrible to me and started talking poorly about me to other staff because I didn’t call at 3 am to tell them I would be there at 7 am. Understandable that they took 350 from me due to me not notifying them. I was already upset I work hard and I had to pay these people after the lady treated me so so poorly. I let management know and they were responsive apologetic and tried to do what they can. Problem was every morning I stayed at that hotel after work the same lady that treated me so poorly was there with a smirk on her face. My honest advice. Absolutely do not book here.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Aloft, and felt it's perfectly located to get to enjoy downtown Tulsa and see great views. The room (corner suite) was spacious and had so much natural light so many windows (definitely recommend!). We also really liked how the hotel is not just a tower, but a whole compound that's raised one floor about street level and is fully fenced in--so one can enjoy walking or taking a call or dining outside with pretty views of the skyline even late at night within the safety of the compound. The heart of downtown is literally a 5 minute walk. Great place!
The staff that welcomed us at check-in were fantastic! They had great recommendations, too. The morning crew that checked us out were awful. You could not even tell she was an employee with her hoodie and no name tag to identify her. She acted like we were an inconvenience.
Really nice hotel but in a somewhat secluded location. It seems like everything was in Midtown and not so much Downtown.
Rooms were really nice and updated and the side I was on had a really nice view.
The only aspect that bothered me about this hotel is that the lobby had somewhat of a funky smell to it. Couldn’t really pinpoint what it might be.
The room was clean, staff were nice, it should have been a good stay, but really it was miserable for me. The bed was one of the worst beds I've ever tried to sleep in, way too soft and hurt my back within minutes. Less support than a hammock.
I ended up sleeping on the floor, with some brief attempts at sleeping in the small bench-type seat.
You also are pretty much forced to pay to park due to where it is located.
On the day of our arrival, our flight was delayed, and I had to call the hotel for a late check-in. After a terrible journey, we were exhausted, but when we arrived at the hotel, Debra at the front desk was incredibly kind to us. She helped us check in smoothly, and the way she spoke with us was amazing. Her kindness truly made our stay much easier, and we are very thankful for her help. Thank you.
