The service here is amazing! Upon check in everyone was sweet and happy. I was traveling with a toddler that somehow managed to empty my wallet and contents into the mini fridge as well as my work phone. I did not realize I was missing it until a few hours after checkout. When I went back they looked for me and brought everything to me, including loose cash. Very honest people and I will be staying here for each visit moving forward.
Rooms are nice and location convenient for visiting my son in college. They allow Uber eats to be brought to your door which can be a pain at most hotels. They have a bar and snacks downstairs for purchase as well. Parking is uncomplicated and close to the entrance. I have zero complaints.
We loved this little gem of a hotel. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful,Devin made us feel at home as soon as we checked in and managed to accommodate us for a few extra nights when Storm Milton hit our next destination. Rooms are snug but very well planned, housekeeping each day was much appreciated along with the bottled water. The bartender was excellent with his service, recommendations and cocktail making. Great little kitchen/coffee area with good public space for drinking/eating etc. and also a pool table . Outside there's some terrace seating and a small but nice pool with sun loungers/towels available. They gave us some great recommends for restaurants, some walkable and any that are a bit further away, but are within a few miles, can be reached with the help of the free shuttle bus the hotel provides. Parking available at $15 per night.|They did such a good job looking after all the families of evacuees and their dogs too.|Would whole heatedly recommend. Thank you .
Nice, clean hotel conveniently located near FSU. The lobby and bar area is very nice. Great happy hour, too! Keep in mind that this is located downtown so you'll hear quite a bit of street noise. The front desk staff was great and accommodated my request for a room that doesn't face the main street which helped with the noise level. I would definitely stay here again.
The Aloft is a nice and reasonable hotel. The food at the XYZ bar is delicious, and the bartenders are knowledgeable, courteous and attentive. ||This is NOT true of the front desk staff nor the coffee/breakfast shop. Each time I walked up to the front desk (at least four-five times during my three night stay), no one bothered to say one word. They just stared and waited for me to speak. It was incredibly awkward. I've never seen that at a hospitality venue. ||I had the same experience only much worse at the breakfast/coffee counter. When I walked up to place my order, I was waiting patiently until someone offered to take my order. I was the only one there. They just continued to chat among themselves and busy themselves with side work (no one else was in line). After about 6-7 minutes of no acknowledgement, I was a bit confused. So, I said....."Are you guys open or still setting up?" The woman behind the counter seemed EXTREMELY irritated yet still didn't say anything, just very rudely gestered to the menu on the wall behind her. She was so irritated by my question, I said "I'm sorry-did I say something that offended you in some way?". Her response was simply "NO!" She never did offer to take my order so I just started speaking it. She reluctantly typed it in at that point. Thought perhaps she was just having a bad day, but she had similar behavior the following morning. It's really a shame that the service doesn't match the brand or the level of standards at this hotel. Has potential to be so great!
This rooms were just refreshed in this property. While snug they were extremely well designed and clean. When we were there (mid July 2024) the gym was still closed for renovation and some finishing touches were being completed in the lobby but neither interfered with our stay and when I called and asked before our stay I was provided with accurate information. There is a bar in the lobby with a helpful bartender who shared information and a taste of two of the local beers on tap before we ordered which was appreciated since we didn’t know any of them. The front desk staff were also pleasant. And there was daily housekeeping which is increasingly not usual but appreciated along with the bottled water (which may have been because I am Bonvoy Gold). I would definitely stay there again.
We stay here every time we travel to south Florida. The staff is superb, facility clean and updated, and the rooms are always comfortable with good lighting. Great location with walking distance to park and restaurants. We Highly recommend
The rooms were clean. The service from the front desk clerks and lady at the bar was unacceptable. The lady at the front desk had an attitude the entire conversation I was trying to have with her. The lady at the bar had a disconnection from reality. I spoke to her and she didn't want to be bothered. I will never return. I could have stayed 4 nights at the hotel down the street for the price I paid for this room and I would have received excellent service.
... I don't know what it is with hotels and not having normal bathrooms. It's a slider, and the whole configuration is weird because if you open the door into the hallway, people walking by can see right into the closet/sink area that you are in to get yourself put together. Customer service is good, looks like the hotel will be undergoing renovations so I would definitely call in the future to see if there is construction work during your stay. Ideally located, couple blocks up from the capitol.
