This is the third time we’ve stayed at an Aloft. While the layout isn’t my favorite (no privacy in the shower and no fan or fully closing door in the toilet area), we frequently choose to stay at Aloft due to them being pet-friendly and having comfortable beds and rooms with very little carpet, so they feel cleaner. This Aloft did not disappoint. The people at the front desk were very friendly, as well as the lady working the breakfast area. The room was incredibly quiet and there was lots of light thanks to the two big windows. When our tv remote stopped working, they quickly brought us a new one. The hotel was within walking distance of many great restaurants and stores and there is only one entrance, and you need a key to get in, which makes it feel safe. My only minor complaints is that one of the elevators wasn’t working, and the room had an…”herbal” odor when we first got in, but the odor quickly went away. Didn’t get a chance to check out the bar or pool. Would stay here again.
The hotel was in a good location. Unfortunately their elevators were down, so everyone had to use the service one. This made it difficult for staff and hotel guest. Overall condition was good. The bar and downstairs area was very nice and a good spot to hang out after a long day.
I stayed here with some friends during the weekend. Overall, the hotel is in a great location near downtown, but also away from the craziness. Very walkable location. We were able to check in early by about an hour which was also nice. |The only issue we had was that one of the bed sheets had a sizable stain of either chocolate, coffee or something brown. However, we called downstairs to the front desk and the lady working that night brought it up within less than 15 minutes. Parking is only valet and it is $45 a night. The room set up might not be for everyone but we didn’t have an issue with it. This was a nice, clean hotel during my stay. The staff was also friendly.
Perfect for parents who are in town for a quick visit, especially close to the Hive! The corner desk & natural light in the room was perfect for when I had to remote work. All the outlets fit my plugs snuggly, just like home. I love the modern aesthetic, the non carpeted flooring. The staff was super helpful & beyond pleasant.
The outside doors was locked to hotel, so out siders can’t come in to use restroom or just hang out. First day staff was friendly and elevator was working. 2nd day staff was not attentive and elevator was not working, everyone had to use the service elevator and if tut didn’t know where it was, you needed up walking the stairs twice. The card scanner on the doors was missing, but working. Good location for everything to do, but thin walls, so you could hear emergency vehicles and cars all day and night. The showers door was hard to close and the had a very bright night light in the rest room that you could not turn off, so I had to slide the doors close to get the room a little more darkness. Everything was clean and in place. I did enjoy free movies on showtime, which hotels never have. I blame the owner of the hotel for the problem, because if they can’t get the funds, they can’t fixed the problems faster.
Awesome service! Desha and Jesus went over and beyond the call of duty for my elementary school group. I will definitely be back for future trips both personal and professional. The bar was exceptional as well!!! This was my first time staying at Aloft but definitely not my last. Great job Aloft!!!!
Location was great for our needs. We attended an event at the Savannah Civic Center that was only two blocks away. It is also a short walk to the River Walk. The bar was also a good way to cap off the evening.||The only downside was the $45 valet parking, but I knew that when I made my reservations. The location made it worth it. That is also expected for inter City lodging.
Stayed here for my husbands birthday as a surprise trip to Savannah, we have both never been but have stayed with aloft before so we booked excited. The front desk ladies were the only redeeming quality of this hotel, one was kind enough to help me with a special request, and in general she was always very kind and helpful. That’s where the good things end. The place is extremely dirty, the floors, the seats were dirty with crumbs, stickiness and stains. The communal areas very heavily used and noticeably unclean. I wasn’t even comfortable sitting down on the lobby couch at check it due to the large visible stains. Our room wasn’t cleaned properly, our bed had what appeared to be shoe marks on the bedding. I called and asked for the maids to bring some new bedding and they never came, the next day the maids skipped my room despite calling asking specifically for more towels, the pool is small and in a basement, as well as the gym. Disappointing stay all in all with the aloft. The location is on the outskirts so make sure to visit the visitor center to get your bearings, otherwise would not recommend you stay here. Motel level experience for a hotel price. Dirty!
