I’ve been staying here for the last 2 years but I think today will be the last time. The rooms are fine but strangely designed. The shuttle has always been a selling point for me because it runs 24/7.
But the service, always cold, unfriendly and distant, until today. Today it was straight up rude. I’ve never interacted with someone who would speak but not acknowledge me and make eye contact. And forget about checking in early, that will be $20/hr. So the lobby is littered with guests waiting to check in. For a hotel that charges north of $200 a night, I expect at least the bare minimum of a seamless check in and kindness. I stay at other hotels in the area that actually treat me like a guest, not cattle.
Avoid if you can.
I stayed there for a daytime long layover. Shuttle service was very good; it serves only this hotel and the adjacent one. The shuttle tracker is a great feature. If you are a light sleeper, be aware that there's no soundproofing between floors; if there's someone in the room above you, you'll know it. The hotel has nice outdoor spaces with a firepit, and you can access a waterside walking path by crossing the parking lot of the adjacent hotel.
Pros
- Close to the airport. Which can also be a con.
- Nice lobby with lots of sitting room.
- My room was huge. Got one with a king size bed.
- Fitness center.
- Indoor swimming pool.
- My room was fairly quiet with the exception of the con below. But I slept like a baby.
- Tacos was great at the restaurant.
- Free hotel shuttle!!
Con
-Close to the airport and throughout the day and night you will hear the planes take off.
- Mini mart is very pricey. $3.75 for a bottle of water and Chocolates are close to $5.00.
Always stay here when flying out of SFO. It’s always great to be here. The people are nice. The rooms have always been amazing. Great night sleep before an early flight.
Beware the naysayers below, they give off entitled vibes. This hotel is a great stop before your flight.
Positive: shuttle. The hotel was very nice Negative: Would like to have the option of a continuous fan when we go to sleep. the airplanes were loud but that is not on you guys. We could have stayed farther away. :)
The title pretty much says it. This place is a glorified park and fly that happens to also be a hotel.||The room was disappointing. The layout was somewhat awkward, and it looked and felt shabby. The walls were thin, and, while I had a great view of the airport, I also had a great deal of noise from the airport. The remote in my room did not work correctly.||I didn't park a car, but I understand that it's pretty pricey.||The only advantage that this place has is, because it's really a park and fly, the shuttle to the airport runs 24/7 and often. Just expect it to be crowded.||I've stayed at a number of hotels with SFO shuttles, and this is by far the worst.
This hotel is really close to the airport and newer, and the shuttle is convenient and reliable. It’s about $15 by cab from SFO. Everyone is friendly and helpful. The rooms are good, and beds are firm and comfortable. Plenty of room for your luggage. There is only a shower & no bathtub, which is common. Coffee and tea in room with small coffee maker you can use to just get hot water from. There is a refrigerator but no microwave. The breakfast options are meh (American, unhealthy, expensive) but better than nothing. There are a lot of very overpriced healthy and regular snacks available. It feels safe. Pool but no hot tub.
Super convenient location for returning our rental car and hopping on the shuttle to the airport. Our room was spacious and clean and well supplied with the essentials. I had specifically booked this hotel because of the nice outdoor seating, but when we went outside to hang out by the fire ring the air smelled so strongly of jet fuel that it just wasn’t enjoyable. I guess that’s the con of being so close to the airport. Would stay here again
