Best WLM Reviews

First of all, the water pressure in the shower was FANTASTIC. So there's that. |The hotel was in the process of a renovation when I was there, so they obviously weren't at their best, but that should get better. The employees were all uniformly warm and helpful. The room was fine, functional, nothing special. There is a charming pub/restaurant right next door, so that's great. It's fine.
One of the worst hotels ever experienced. I flew into town with my mother where our flight got delayed twice so we ended up not getting in until late. Upon checking in, it’s free parking which is the ONLY thing that’s worth it. The hotel doesn’t give off an inviting aura. The lobby was extremely dark, you have to go thru two elevators in order to get yo the lobby. Check in the finally get to the room, and oh my gosh! Hair in the tub, tarnished and mold all around the room. The walls were all cracked. The table connected to the sink was disgusting. I was extremely shocked that this hotel “in the SHORT PUMP area” was like this. My mom and I were so tired and it was so late that we insisted on waiting it out until the morning and leaving. They did not want to accommodate that night with all of the mishaps going on in the room. They only offered free breakfast! And no return on this. I’ve tried reaching out to the manager and no one has even remotely reached back out in regards to it. At this point it’s been so far long that it won’t matter but I can assure you to never stay here. I would expect this area to have elite hotels to stay. Short pump area and ALOFT DO BETTER….
We stayed there about 12 years ago and the room we were assigned had not been renovated except for the new carpet in the hallway. Hotel is under construction and lots of amenities not available. Very expensive for a hotel under construction with no complimentary breakfast. Bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The TV signal was not stable, the sounds kept going every 5 seconds. Internet only available on the first night. We were assigned a room on the 5th floor. On our last night, fire alarm went off around 10:45pm and we had to evacuate the building. Came back and then, it went off again 30 min later. Dogs barking in the stairwell, older people trying to make their way down the stairs... not good. When I asked the front desk, they said it was a faulty wire... so finally got to bed around 12:30. Next morning, we were checking out and the elevators were not in service. 5 flights of stairs with our luggage... This hotel allows dogs and we had dogs barking on our floor each night. Maybe the dogs should be limited to one floor?? I won't stay there anytime soon. The good thing is the location - very convenient if you are visiting family/friends living in the village and the staff was nice. I complained about the fire alarm and asked for a partial refund and was offered Marriot points instead...
This Aloft did not live up to expectations of a Marriott hotel. A/C was not working in Lobby. Rooms were recently updated but at a very low standard. Room was recently cleaned but still corners were dirty.
Location is highly favored, lots of shopping and good places to eat within 5-10 min walking distance.
I wouldn't stay here again.
They have BEDBUGS!! Check bedding at every hotel before getting comfortable. Staff was not surprised, or alarmed at all when I reported it. Got my refund & ran out!! Didn’t think to take a picture but the headboard in one of the rooms I booked had the letter B written in pen on the side. I’m thinking this is the way the cleaning staff marks infested rooms so they know to be careful while changing sheets. Also AC was not on in the lobby or hallways.
This is the 3rd time I have stayed here. Every single time the bathroom has smelled like it hasn’t been clean. This time my room key didn’t work, then when it was switched out I got to the room only to find the TV wouldn’t turn on. They switched me to another room. Room temp is always 75 plus.
This place sucks
Your status doesn’t mean anything to Aloft. Not even when you ask them for an upgrade. They just repeat “we have two rooms, king and tqr.” I don’t know what tqr is. Apparently that’s hotel speak for two queen room.
This conversation with them via chat is ridiculous. I’ll post it after I leave so I don’t have further recourse.
GM - I’m still at your hotel, I’m going to post it publicly and call corporate. The least you could do is upgrade your members with status to a floor far enough away from your lobby club / bar that we don’t hear it.
Your front desk / chat staff are completely without customer focus or awareness, no idea about brand loyalty, and only on the defensive, not seeking solutions and giving lots of attitude while doing so. Hospitality my asz.
Stayed here while handling some business meetings in the area… Check-in was efficient and friendly. The room was decen – My only issues are:|- The bed kept sliding off its base|- They really need to do something in Aloft hotels about the windows! I’d love to have the light come in, but I don’t want the window and room full exposed to the outside!|- HVAC units in Alofts are loud!|Nice location and relatively clean property. I’d stay here again.
