Honestly great place to stay! My room was super nice and offered a view of the 24/7 sky train that operates for the airport so that was a nice thing to watch at night. For the price, I was shocked at how nice the bathrooms were I feel like they could easily charge in the $200s for the rooms.
Anyway, the amenities are great and they serve food in the hotel. Bar and pool on site. Right next door to a dispensary. Sky train for airport access. I mean you really can’t ask for much more. Thank you for a great stay!
Pros-The bed was comfortable and there was a small refrigerator, microwave and a coffee maker. Also it does come with some shower gel, shampoo and conditioner in the shower which was nice.
Cons-The phone does not work in the room to call the front desk. I had to use my cell phone to call the front desk to ask about ice. I then find out that you have to get ice from downstairs in a freezer. They do not have ice makers on each floor so you have to get completely dressed to go down to get some ice. And I said with a pro that they do have a coffee maker, however, there are no coffee cups. There are no liners in any of the trash cans in the room. Also, there is a $15 parking fee. This is not a Las Vegas resort this is a hotel and you should not have to pay for parking if you're paying to stay. I understand it is close to the airport and some people on the flights may take advantage of free parking, but the hotel guest should not have to pay for parking the night they are staying at the hotel.
The kid running the front desk was sitting with his friends when I went to the lobby to get ice. I will never come back here again.
I'll start by saying the hotel staff is friendly and hard working. The neighborhood is not great - many homeless in the area and my group encountered some in the hotel. Given the neighborhood, it's concerning a room key is not required to access the guest floors. |There is a free shuttle available for airport transfers. I landed at 11AM grabbed by luggage and called ALoft and the shuttle arrived appox 10 min. later. When I was there shuttle service began at 6AM. My flight leaving Phoenix was 6AM so I scheduled an Uber with no problems. I would not recommend walking to the Sky Train early morning or night due to the neighborhood. |There is a small bar in the lobby. We ate dinner (small menu) there one night which was ok. I got a salad, chicken tenders, and fries. It was basic- served on paper plates and plastic utensils. There is a market area where you can purchase drinks, sandwiches, salads, snacks, etc. They offered free coffee, tea, and flavored water which was nice in the mornings. |The room was nice. There is a small work area consisting of a desk, lamp, outlets, and chair. My view was the pool as I looked out from the desk area. There was a small frig in the bathroom under the sink, a small coffee maker also located in the bathroom area, and a microwave in the bedroom area by the window. I used all the amenities and they worked well. The shower is big but mine lacked a shelf or area to sit shampoo, razor, etc. on. I sat it on the shower floor but it would've been nice to have a shelf. The a/c in the room worked great and it was 106F when I stayed in Phoenix. |I saw the gym but was not able to use it because it was busy the morning I tried to go. It's small but it will get the job done. I was a treadmill, bike, free weights, etc. The pool area is a great area to relax at night. You can access it from the lobby and bar area. When I was there people were sitting outside around the pool having a drink and talking. The pool area has a nice seating arrangement.
I really enjoyed my stay. Room was clean. Service was prompt. The entire hotel was clean and had a colorful fun vibe to it. If you're sensitive to noise you may want to bring plugs or have some soft sound playing in your room, (you can hear loud other guests in the hallway and the tram going by), but otherwise had a lovely time.
I'm a Titanium Elite with Marriott. Arrived early and was able to get a room. Since it was $15 to park my rental car I took the car back to the rental lot. The front desk person who checked me in said to just call and the shuttle would pick us up. When I got to the rental lot, there was a shift change and Keith to me that he wouldn't send a shuttle pick up and I had to take the tram to a airport terminal pickup. No apologies for not being able to accommodate the earlier instructions.
Unfortunately, this is the type of customer service we experience today.
Great hotel for a quick stop near airport. Lobby is nice with pool and lounge area, well lit and lively. Rooms and clean and modern. Drybar toiletries!
Also free shuttle service to airport that was easy to schedule and prompt. Maria our shuttle driver was nice and friendly and we had a very pleasant trip to the airport- thanks Maria!
The parking lot is a shitshow. Marriott has turned it over to a third-party company to manage. Homeless sleeping under cars in the parking lot.
The whole place wreaks of weed. I might have been the only guest not sitting in my room blazing all night.
For a Marriott, this place was really disappointing.
Just all around bad, except that the people working here were nice. Room smells so strongly of cleaning solution that I got an instant headache. The area where they have food included a little freezer with some kinds of ice cream, but also some microwavable breakfast sandwiches that were completely covered in frost from the freezer. Makes you wonder how long they've been there. I could go on and on.... But the people were nice.
