Stayed here for a business trip and had a great experience! Check-in was a breeze—super quick and easy. My room was fantastic: a super comfy bed, hardwood floors (a must for me when picking a hotel), and all the little extras that make life easier. There was a hairdryer, an iron, a steamer for clothes, tons of outlets everywhere, a mini fridge, a couch, a nice workspace, and even Drybar hair products in the shower.
The hotel bar was a nice bonus. Emma, the bartender, made me a strong gin and tonic (so good!) and was both professional and friendly.
Oh, and they have free coffee (love that!) and a grab-and-go breakfast menu that’s perfect if you’re in a rush. Definitely recommend this place if you’re traveling for work—or anything really!
My recent stay at the Aloft Omaha West was my first, and likely last, Aloft experience. I was charged for the room before my arrival, which prevented me from changing my method of payment as I had hoped to do. The front desk agent said that only the manager, who of course wasn't there, could make a change.
The room was not in the location promised through earlier messages with the staff, was in a poor and noisy location.
The staff was, at best, disinterested and not the least bit helpful.
Addendum: I contacted Joe the General Manager of this property. He was very apologetic and responsive. He processed a refund to the card and processed payment on the card I desired. I appreciate his helpfulness.
Very cool place. Rooms were a good size. Clean place, very friendly staff. The gal at the front was awesome, forget to get her name. She let us check in early with no problem. Joe and Jerry were working the night shift and were very friendly. Good price and close to everything. Highly recommend!
After getting kicked out of the Comfort Suites Omaha West for a reservation issue - you can read that review, we booked ALOFT Omaha West for accommodation.
Upon arriving, the staff was friendly and helpful. It was nice to be greeted with a smile!
We checked into our room which was clean and modern and had all of the amenities we were looking for. We enjoyed the lap pool for a quick refreshing dip and came and went to attend the events planned in Omaha with family.
It was a great stay! Thank you!
For a west Omaha venue, this has to be one of the worst hotels in the entire city! Rooms are noisy and the walls are thin. Don't expect a good night's sleep. Breakfast mediocre, cold, and minimal.
Staff was incredibly rude and arrogant. General manager, Joe Hart, was probably the worst of the bunch. Ambivalent and smug when shortfalls were brought to his attention. "you can book another hotel in the area" was just one of his responses.
There ARE other options in the area. Use them and avoid this place.
This place is all glitz and absolutely zero substance. The only redeeming aspect of this 'hotel' is its location to quite a few places to eat, drink, socialize.
Rooms are decorated poorly, the noise level is high, it's like a manufacturing center with no ambiance whatsoever.
Check in process was easy but the staff is ambivalent and the management rude, curt, and short.
There are so many better options in the area: Home2Suites, Hilton Garden Inn, and Residence Inn. Forget the fancy pictures of this place; Aloft exists in a level that is only high in the minds of the management and staff.
Recommend you avoid this place at all costs.
This was one of the louder hotels I’ve ever stayed in. I did not get a full night’s rest both nights I stayed. This was due to loud people one night which I know is not on the hotel. The second night I could hear stomping from the floor above me so not much sound barrier. Additionally, when ordering breakfast, I could overhear the person saying that she didn’t know how to make half of the stuff on the menu. It took about 15 minutes for a cold brew. There was a group of people waiting to order a drink in the lobby and a bartender never showed.
The hotel was very clean and had nice amenities. Very nice lobby.
The staff is extremely rude. We booked a king room for the night of our wedding (paid, booked, confirmed) only to get there & find out the rooms were “over sold” due to the storm we had. I understand people needed a place to stay, i understand the storms, but i don’t understand booking a room that was already paid and confirmed. The staff was SO rude. Not an ounce or remorse for the situation, at one point I said “I know you’re sorry and it’s not your fault” and he cut me off saying “i’m not sorry though”. will never stay here again and a waste of money. Should have looked at the reviews about the ride staff before booking. The entire building also smelled of weed which was shocking as it’s a very nice hotel.
