The room with its open concept was okay. As you step into the room to the right is the shower. The room has a divider separating the sink & shower from bed area of the room with toilet in black colored closet type room. I prefer a traditional type hotel room. While the rooms are mainly white the hallways to the room are dark. |The front desk staff were ok. 2 different front desk staff spent a fair amount of time out smoking instead of being at the front desk. We went down to have breakfast about 8 AM & front desk staff said the kitchen staff to prepare the breakfast had not showed up for work. When we left the hotel about an hour later, apparently they showed up. |My biggest concern was the security or lack of security for access to guest rooms. In the elevator it is required to use a room key to access the guest floors - I think this good system. It consistently worked. However the outside door on the back side of the building we|was never locked despite key pad with sign to use room key. We went in & out of this door all times of the day & night & it never required to use our keys.
We were greeted by the check in worker smoking at the front door to the hotel. She followed us in and seemed annoyed that we messed up her smoke break. Next, all of the hotel staff was hanging out in the lobby and kitchenette area. We don’t view this as normal for the hotel industry - usually workers come and go through service entrances. ||We asked for rate at check in. We didn’t have a reservation. The rate was $15 higher than HotelTonight. I asked if she wanted to match it and she said it wasn’t possible. So I said I would enter in the app. Heavy sighs, complaints about all the work she has to go through to get our reservation in, how much she hates HotelTonight, etc. we waited for 15 minutes for our reservation to be ready for checkin. ||Went into our room and I went to use the toilet and there was chunks of poop up and down the inside of the bowl. Beyond disgusting. Went down and got a new room. It was cleaner? But not to my standards. Hair on the shower walls, and the area rug was filthy. The hallways were covered with debris there is no way it had been vacuumed in a long time. ||The bed was comfortable and the location was great. We didn’t pay much for the room, but still, there are basic standards I think everyone would expect no matter what you pay.
I have always stayed here when coming into town and never had an issue until my last stay. I can 100% tell the staff who previously cared about this property must have left, because wow. It looks sticky in the lobby on the floors, luckily Felecia was there to check me in, however with new staff at every arrival the night clerk was too busy smoking outside to be friendly. I asked for an extra towel and she acted like I ruined her entire night. The bartender and what I can assume was staff was at the bar which made me feel unwelcome. Everytime I walked through they would just stare at me. I used to be greeted and cared about. That is DEFINITELY lacking now. Save your $$ unless you like being treated like a nuisance.
This was my first stay at Aloft. The check-in staff was super friendly and made me feel welcome right away. Super cute room, super clean, and cozy. I loved it! The hotel is close to lots of stores and places to eat. Will definitely stay again on my next trip to Oklahoma City.
Aloft North Oklahoma City: A Total Disappointment||I'm seriously baffled by the drastic change at this Aloft. Last year, it was a decent place to stay. This time around, it was a complete disaster.|The room was filthy, like no one had even bothered to clean it properly.|Seriously? That's a new low, even for a budget hotel. And don't even get me started on the lack of management. It's like they've abandoned the place.|The housekeeping staff was the worst part. I checked in at 3 PM, and the room looked like it had been hastily thrown together, not cleaned. It's clear that quality control has gone out the window.|At this rate, Aloft North Oklahoma City is quickly becoming a Ramada Inn. Marriott Bonvoy needs to step in and fix this mess ASAP.
This hotel does a bait and switch with the pet fee. They are either dishonest or incompetent. The Bonvoy app shows the hotel as welcoming pets but under the Pet policy they don’t show a 50 dollar pet fee like every other competent Marriott property does. This hotel has become run down and is not very pleasant.
Clean, ..... Clean, .... Clean .... Affordable, ... Affordable, .... Affordable..., Modern, ... Modern, ... Modern, ... 70 year old geezers found this Hotel perfect. We geezers feel 20 years younger. Modern, Modern, Modern. $120 Total for two. Our daughter lives next door which is why we stay here. Fun place, Affordable place.
Straight frauds. Charged my navy card for a room that they swear declined, but NAVY FEDERAL CREDIT UNION said they took the money. The bank even gave me a transaction number showing that it went through and it wasn't pending but paid. So now they want me to pay a additional 383.44 on top of the 383.44 that I've already paid!!! Crooks at the finest... So being fraudulent charged for the first time and charged again....
