Best WLM Reviews

Great location-close to shops, restaurants, banks, and fun. Lobby smells good and looks retro. The room is mostly clean with only a few areas that needed attention-possible mold on shower ceiling, in grout of shower, and the sink makes a glib glib sound after turning off the water as though it’s clogged. Had a kid pound on my door at 10:30pm and ran off to the elevator. Gotta pay for parking and breakfast. Hotel host was very sweet and helpful.
First time staying at an Aloft. The hotel was very nice and clean. Lobby was spacious and had a small bar, pool table and games. We were there on a Friday and they had a singer in the lobby which was a nice touch. The staff was very friendly and very accommodating. The rooms were clean and comfortable, beds/pillows were great. Free coffee in the morning and breakfast available for purchase. Didn't try that, didn't look like anything special. Pet friendly as well, saw lots of dogs. You do have to pay extra for parking which was kind of annoying. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and would recommend. Thanks Marriott, will try Aloft again.
Everyone we encountered was pleasant and professional, not that we would have had the time but really wish the pool was working, I would have tried very hard to make the time. Breakfast was definitely a little different it felt like a confused cafeteria
and nobody knew where the lunch lady was. But the rooms were clean, pillows were fluffy and warm water from a shower with good pressure so I mean… life could be worse when away from home.
Positive: Nice room- close to the highway- very clean. Negative: That you have to pay for breakfast and the options were not that good. Is it too hard to grill up some bacon and scrambled eggs?
Overall great hotel. The lobby was hot and whatever scent they were using in there was really really strong. Otherwise it was a great experience. The gym was small but had everything you needed. The pool is indoor and we did not use it. Room was clean and really nice. I would definitely stay here again.
The hotel and room is very nice and comfortable but I came here to give a MASSIVE SHOUTOUT to BRYAN and ANNA! I work for a big corp that is in town to host at Pilgrimage Festival and it’s been very rainy. Bryan was an absolute lifesaver and helped us get in from the rain and into our lovely room. His professionalism and hospitality was truly outstanding. Anna was no exception, as she graciously assisted us with some special requests and was so friendly and kind. It’s people like Bryan and Anna who have made a nice stay into a truly remarkable experience and I cannot thank them enough. May the wonderful karma you’ve put in, come back to you tenfold!
We’ve stayed at this hotel many times over the past few years as it’s conveniently located. When we arrived for our most recent stay we discovered they now charge $10/day to park! It’s not the cost that bothered me but the corporate greed displayed by Aloft. They already charge a very stout room rate but now they want to grab more money from their loyal customers. Well, there are other hotels in the area that don’t charge for parking. I believe we’ll stay elsewhere for our next trip.
Extremely hipster place. Solid 3 stars. I'll list the pros and cons here
PRO:
Great location, look less than 10 minutes to get to everywhere we wanted to go to this past weekend, surrounded by many doordash options and even a Kroger nearby.
Clean and cozy rooms
Comfortable lobby with pool table
Extremely pet friendly! Saw 3 dogs, has a doggy treat jar, and saw a cat too!
Bar on site (I don't drink and the barman was gone due to a death in the family is what we were told)
CON:
Rooms and building look simultaneously old and new. The rooms and the paint and the decor looks new and the rooms look newly constructed (not a compliment. Could see the seems in the ceiling, issues with the painting on the ceiling, a doorstop attached to a wall that doesn't have an outward swinging door anymore, latches on the shower stall almost broken and looked glued on) but the building is in desperate need of a good power wash.
No televisions anywhere in the lobby, my party I was with wanted to watch the Tennessee game but we had to keep looking up the scores on our phones instead while they were having a drink and hangout
Small rooms
Thin walls. Fiancé's mother got woken up by our hotel alarm clocks and we were in a completely different, non connected room and the clock was on the opposite side of the room from the wall we shared, and the other alarm from our party was across the hall! Can hear people extremely clearly talk almost anywhere in the hallway from our room, and the wall facing outside was also very thin and I could hear anytime a particularly enthusiastic car or motorcycle went by on the road, waking me up with my earplugs in sometimes too.
Room was almost always either too hot or too cold, even with the temperature set on the thermostat. 68 was somehow too hot and too cold.
All the bedding came undone several times during the night, the fitted sheet and the mattress protector, causing me to get tangled up and wake up and have to fix the sheet around 4am.
Breakfast is all only microwaved precooked stuff that you couldn't even do yourself, you had to fill out a little card and then a lady behind a window would "cook" it for you with the microwave. The food however was GOOD, just weird wait times and hot temperatures. Would have preferred to do it myself if it was premade, but then they couldn't charge as much for it I guess. And yes I said charge, no such thing as complimentary breakfast, but it does extend to 10am which is almost long enough.
IN CONCLUSION:
worth 3 stars but not much more. Needs a small revamp and possibly inspection of the rooms. Would recommend for a one or two night stay, and especially if you're looking for something affordable and pet friendly. Would not recommend for older folks or people who are particular about their sleep habits, bars, or live music. Isn't for everyone. EXTREMELY HIPSTER place. Only thing that would make it more hipster would be pingpong and weed/vape
