Best WLM Reviews
I hardly leave reviews but for 125$ a night, I think that is FAR over priced. the ac unit didn’t work properly, the shower didn’t drain nor work up to par, and toilet didn’t flush properly until I fixed it. Also, the blinds are broken and do not work. Let’s just say 7 am comes real fast. The best part of the hotel was the check in lady, she was so kind and nice. Location is near lots of restaurants and near the airport so very good location. Rooms need some work, I would not recommend but if you have a pet like we do, then sometimes beggars can’t be choosers. Not great, not terrible, but not ideal.
To start off my experience at this completely inadequate excuse for a hotel we had to change rooms due to the air conditioning not working. The staff seemed bothered that anyone would dare to ask for a room that wasn’t 85 degrees and not cooling off by 10:30 at night, after several trips to the front desk requesting to move and finally a visit from maintenance (the maintenance guy was the only employee we had any interaction with who didn’t seem bothered or annoyed to speak to a customer) to confirm that it was actually hot in the room, we were finally given a new room. The next morning we awoke to find that the water was out in the whole hotel and were told to “deal with it”. No flushing toilets, washing hands or anything else was possible so we were forced to checkout and find other accommodations. I have left three messages asking for a call from Rebecca Boyd, the general manager, along which two calls to Marriott customer service who also sent her messages to respond by email and (predictably) I’ve heard nothing.
Don’t waste your money staying at this property, it’s nowhere near the usual and expected level of cleanliness or service I’ve come to expect from a Marriott property.
Very nice hotel located about 15 minutes from Jacksonville Airport. It near by manu stores, restaurants and fast food chain. Front desk guy work in the evening are very nice, friendly and welcoming. Bed and pillow are comfortable, great place to stay.
The lobby and the building itself was very aesthetically pleasing. Rooms wear fairly dirty. For $150 for one night and no breakfast it wasn’t really worth it. I was hoping the quality of the room would make up for the lack of breakfast… it did not.
HORRIBLE and so disappointed.
I called because I was just requesting an earlier check in if possible. I travel to Jacksonville for work once a month or so. Called and said I never have/ had a reservation. Manager got on the phone and VERY passive aggressive and listened after I got firm.
Rude as soon as I walked in. I asked about the Marriott membership, since I travel for work. The manager looked at me like I was an idiot and no information. Just was asking questions about it.
Had a lot of luggage for my trip. The elevator wasn’t working after pushing the buttons and waiting.
The two associates JUST stood there. I accidentally spilled the ice…
No apologies… could care less to help.
I had to get up at 4 AM to be at my work by 6 AM. I heard people in the hallway MOST of the night and all on that floor I was on. (*lucky me*)
Luckily , I was fine to go to work but extremely tired.
I already called Marriott customer service and nice woman on the phone was helpful and contacted this property.
NEVER returning.
What a shame since restaurants around.
Choose another. Sad the hotels with free breakfast is better than theirs you have to pay for.
Great room nice location. Just a 6 min drive from the airport. Call to coordinate your pick up and drop off from the airport. They have a shuttle and can work on 20 min intervals.
Clean room. No complaints.
Coffee is nice and fresh in the morning.
They have a bar open until midnight.
Room was clean! Beautiful and super dark at night which was great!
We reserved two rooms. The first room reeked of urine. Thankfully the second room was fine. I went to the desk to mention how bad the smell was and he dismissed me saying, “we can’t do anything for you. All we can do is spray the room.” A few minutes later a guy with a mask on came and sprayed a small can of room spray all over. It didn’t take away any urine smell, and it made the room smell worse.
I’m surprised that for being such a nice hotel they were so dismissive.
I have stayed in this hotel numerous times because every three months I have a procedure in the adjacent UF facility. Between getting a subpar room and having to switch, understanding more Spanish than the associate realized (and knowing that he was cursing at and about me and other guests), having no access to ice, getting woken up at 9:45am (“ because a lot of people are going to the airport and I didn’t want you to miss your plane if you needed to get up,” said the lady performing these wake up knocks. What?!), and that’s almost all I’ll list. There is one more thing, the shower in the new room was so filthy that I couldn’t even use it, and I prefer top floors since they’re usually quieter, and I was told that floors four and five were reserved for guests with pets. You’ll check my Bonvoy rewards account and see that I have, in fact, stayed at this property roughly every three months for the past year; I don’t even think about it because it’s so close. After what happened during this stay, I will never set foot in this hotel again. As a matter of fact, since you’ve asked, I’ll go ahead and copy and paste this to Google Reviews as well.
