Check in was a breeze, AJ took great care with the valet of our vehicle, helping us unload when arrived and loading when it was time to leave. He was always smiling, quick to answer any questions and just a really nice guy. Our room was clean and stocked…but if you’re going to be checking out the night life, I’d suggest bringing your own stash of water/snacks/etc. the pricing in the lobby is as high as you would expect convenience to cost.
The only issue we had was with the hot water. We got back to the room past midnight the first night and the water was room temperature…as in the glass didn’t even fog up. I let the front desk know and by the time we hit the showers in the morning, all was well - they had it fixed in no time! Our room was on the top floor but the view was of the concrete siding of the building next to us - which was no big deal for us, we weren’t there for views from a window…but if that’s what you want - you need to be specific when you book.
All of downtown is within walking distance and we greatly enjoyed our stay!
I experienced the most disrespectful and uncomfortable situation last night. I’ve been a Marriot member and I never went thru an awful experience like this one. Despite having paid reservation I was informed by your on duty manager “Yesenia” that you guys were not able to check on any guest. She didn’t ask for my reservation neither tried to find a solution to made us feel as customers. All she said was “I came check you in” and even recommend us to go to a near by hotel if we wanted a room before 4 am.
I had the pleasure of experiencing exceptional service from George, the parking valet, during my recent visit. From the moment I arrived, George greeted me with a warm smile and a level of professionalism that immediately put me at ease. His efficiency was evident as he expertly managed my vehicle with the utmost care, ensuring that everything was handled smoothly and securely.
George went above and beyond, even offering helpful tips about the area and suggesting a great local spot to visit. His positive attitude and attention to detail made the entire process effortless and pleasant. It's clear that George takes pride in his work and genuinely cares about providing the best possible experience for his clients.
If you're looking for outstanding valet service, look no further than George. His exemplary work ethic and friendly demeanor truly set him apart. Thanks to George, my visit was made even better, and I'll certainly be returning with confidence knowing that such excellent service is available.
I wanted to share my recent experience while trying to inquire about a booking. I left a chat to gain clarity on whether I booked a king or double queen and never received a response. I called the property and spoke with Tyrus. Unfortunately, instead of addressing my question directly, I was transferred to reservations, which left me feeling somewhat disregarded. As a manager in reception, I hold high expectations for service quality. I understand that everyone has different communication styles. However, I believe there is an opportunity for improvement in handling guest inquiries. A little coaching and training for the staff could greatly enhance the overall experience .||||I arrived at the Aloft to see if I was the problem or Tyrus was just not having a good day. After 10pm the doors are locked in which I understand. I knocked 3 different times until he finally looked up from his phone. He then comes to the door, mumbles and points as he’s walking off I stood there confused as to what he said being that his back was turned. He said “the entrance is over there”. I felt as if I received inadequate customer service, I had to cancel my reservation at 10pm and find other accommodations.
The hotel is in a good central location downtown. Staff are mostly friendly and will help you. I found the cleaning team super nice. The decor reminds me of a Cinema. Bed was comfortable and shower was good. You get all the bare essentials in the hotel. Sadly our stay and desire for a good nights sleep was slightly ruined by a noisy guest next door who fell in to his room shouting and speaking loudly at 2 AM drunk and then continued to vomit violently through the rest of the night. We also got a good dose of marijuana fumes from our bathroom fan in the morning as I guess the other side had been smoking. If you do stay here do not get a room with the shared connecting room doors as the noise will just be inside your room from next door. The hotel saved us with some AC when our power was out after the Hurricane but not much else. Also their pool and roof area is closed.
I was locked out of my room for over 45 minutes. The battery on the door died. The staff took 30 minutes to get up to my room, then another 20 minutes to fix. It made me late for the appointment I went to Texas for. Showers are also scolding or freezing. No in between
Horrible service. The staff is very short and rude and barely willing to help. The location is great except for parking. We had to go in (after waiting outside to be let in) and scan a QR code to then drive to a separate parking garage to then carry our luggage all the way over to then check in (after waiting outside to be let in, again). The staff continued to be very short and rude, throwing things around the front desk during our check in, making no eye contact, and speaking to us as little as possible. I also have not had one single phone call with the front desk where they have not put me on hold or hung up on me with no notice and in the middle of me speaking.
The location of this hotel is great. I felt like everything was in walking distance for the places around there like the convention center. As for as the room, everything was clean, housekeeping service was great…it was what you would expect hotel room to be. Our last night though not sure why it was really hot in the room when the temp was set to cold. Now downstairs at lobby, it might need a few improvements. Firstly, the valet should get a raise…they are few of the nicest people we meet while we were in Houston. We got checked in luckily somehow before their system went down and were able to get keys. I understand this wasn’t the best time for the front desk, but an employee was little rude to my sister when speaking. Also, due to the system failure, there a few discrepancies when it came to returning of the deposit.
