Best WLM Reviews
This hotel was really nice. Was in town for a couple of days and decided to stay here with my daughter and girlfriend. The hotel room was really comfortable and the beds were really comfortable!! My kid loved the swimming area, because she could keep cool in the extreme heat of Arizona in the summer! I enjoyed the complimentary internet that allowed me to connect and check emails and talk to friends easily. The parking fee was not bad, and we were close to Dave and Busters which is always a good place to go to. The shower was amazing and the shower head had the perfect amount of power. The staff that I dealt with were friendly and they were always there with a smile when we came through the lobby. I definitely recommend this hotel.
Nice place. The high ceiling was not needed. Showers were amazing. No fan for the bathroom. The bed was soft. The pool was semi heated but hey it's winter and you can swim. No hot tub was a disappointment. Had to ask for towels for the pool. They charge for parking but didn't tell you except on the parking ticket to put in the window. But it was a decent room. No microwave and small fridge with no freezer. Ice was on another floor and I was on the 1st floor. Didn't make sense but ok. Lots of usb ports and lighting.
Room small. Filthy carpet. One sink. No microwave. Bar had no Crown Royal, ran out of Titos and off brand nasty brandy. One real small bar of soap. One cup coffee maker with awful brand of coffee. One bottle of water. Furniture not comfortable. Nice location, and service not bad. Great pillows.
Do yourself a favor and go to their sister property instead…Townplace Suites across the street. We ended up going there because we could no longer handle this place.
The only redeeming thing about the rooms is the comfortable beds. And the location. Walking distance to some major attractions.
Our room was not clean. There were stains on the pillows and mold in the shower, as evidenced by the pictures below. We also had the experience of our door not working correctly. At one point, the door would not lock correctly and we had to move our stuff to my in laws room down the hall to make sure it didn’t get stolen. Our door was nonfunctioning for over 24 hours. They didn’t have any open rooms so they couldn’t switch us. They finally tried to move us to a different room but I demanded to stay at their sister property (which was $100 per night less mind you) and it was SO much better. I wonder if they are under the same management. I would imagine they are not. The staff was rude. The pool was unsafe to swim in (picture below) as it was cloudy and green. They kept telling us it was safe to swim in but there was no way I was putting my daughter in that water. Having a decent pool was important since we were in 110 degree weather. I was so disappointed. There were no lights near the pool or in the pool at night. The pool bathroom has a broken faucet with ants coming out of it.
Oh and the clincher..I asked if they’d charge me a cancellation fee if I went to their sister property since my door wasn’t working for 24 hours and they said no. I booked at the sister property and went to cancel the remainder of my stay and they renigged and said there would be a cancellation fee. When I asked to speak to a supervisor they said there wasn’t one and they couldn’t call one. I ended up getting my cancellation fee waived after I finally got to speak to the housekeeping supervisor, Sheryl, which I appreciated. I was just ready to be done with this place.
I will never stay there again nor will I recommend anyone does. This is definitely not something I’ve come to expect from a Marriot property.
The manager Amy is very rude and unprofessional. They did not disclose the pool was under construction and apparently didn't have the staff to open the bar/restaurant. Amy advised that are plenty of bars on the area if we wanted a cocktail. Bait and switch and false advertisement equated to a 50 dollar credit. They need to learn something about professionalism and hospitality. Will never waste money on Aloft again.
Really nice modern hotel. Accommodations are called “lofts” instead of rooms, which seemed odd to me at first. However once I stepped into the room and saw how high the ceiling was, I understood. The extra foot or two at first doesn’t seem impressive, but as I spent the evening here I realized that it really does make the room feel bigger. And of course it goes with the theme of lofts above businesses that typically have taller ceilings.
The location is great allowing access to the entertainment district without crossing the major roads.
I also appreciate the modern feature of USB ports built into the outlet on the nightstand.
I made a reservation and the lady upfront said I had to be 21 after I arrived after making my reservation over the phone! This lady then shared if I came with someone 21 or older I could then stay! The reason given was because I wasn’t 21 because theirs an open bar! My question is how can a younger adult stay with a 21 year old and somehow they’re still allowed at this hotel but can’t get a room alone because of this so called open bar! They then state 10-12 days to get an incidental back which is far above the standard 5! Then they have the audacity to charge a $150 incidental fee with that ridiculous time frame! Stay away from this hotel! In every review the owner continuously says he cares about his clients but never offers them anything in return for their horrible stays I was willing to give this hotel a chance but after the attitude and inconvenience no way!
Positive: Location only Negative: Lots. 1st. fire alarm going off & no one being told what was going on, we were left to stand outside for awhile. The failure from staff 2 inform u that ur deposit u put on the room wouldn't be returned until 5 or more business days & so much more.
