I am so surprised I have not been to this location but after my visit this time I definitely will make this my to go hotel. Parking was secure and safe. Cleanliness of location was top tier my room was immaculate. The bar and Lounge area was welcoming and cozy. My check in process with the front desk was so smooth and quick. Thank you Brittney for taking my original call and making that process so easy I was having a bad day and you made it better. Also thank you and your coworker Kate for making sure the check out process was smooth as well. I’ll give this location a 10/10 great staff great perks pool bar endless snack options gym onsite parking clean rooms clean lobby inside and out and did I mention this place looks like a cruise boat from the outside which was my favorite part.
We had only one night here but we liked our stay. Just 5 min by free shuttle service from LAX. Check in quick and efficient. Room decent size, good bed and nice size bath room. Some noise from the hallway and slaming doors. Nice bar and pool area. We walked to El Segundo and Manhattan beach. Restaurant options nearby and Ralphs supermarket across the road. Well recommended!
Pros- Hotel offers a free shuttle to and from LAX, which was really convenient (you need to simply call and request pickup once you land and go to the Departures section outside with the red sign for pickups). A good pickup/drop off location specifically for ride-share drivers right in front of the entrance as well. Staff was friendly and rooms were clean. Didn't realize this when booking, but Aloft is a brand under Marriott, so it's very similar to a Courtyard.
Cons- While the location is convenient for LAX, it's not very convenient for tourists who are looking to see the major sites. Most of the things you'd want to see is somewhat far via rideshare, which usually meant more money to spend. There was also nearly always traffic leading back to the hotel. While the room itself was nice and clean, the shower door for some reason wouldn't close and appeared broken. The walls are also paper thin, so you can hear everything that's happening outside in the hallway. You also need to pay for breakfast.
Overall, I would recommend staying here, especially if it's a short term stay and you're flying in/out of LAX.
My company has been using Aloft for our accommodations since June of 2024. This hotel totally rocks. When you walk in, the crew working the front desk call us by name, the bartenders do the same thing. When I have had a maintenance issue, their team is awesome and respond within minutes and fix what needs the attention. |The pool area is awesome and the workout room is excellent. |The front desk staff of Monica, Jose, Nelson, Andrew, Brenda, Britney, Serena, Katie, Julisa, all get incredible "KUDOS" for always meeting any and all requests I have ever had.|Chris in the kitchen makes the best "extra crispy" chicken wings with Buffalo sauce. Really truly phenomenal. |Rodi and Daria from the bar are the greatest. They always make everyone feel extremely welcomed and the drinks are great too. |Sa and Brian from Maintenance are the best and extremely friendly. |Even the security guys Gus and Tony take time out to chat with us. ||The entire staff at Aloft support each other are are all great assets to the hotel and the Marriott brand. |Some people do not look forward to going into work, I am extremely excited when I go to work knowing that I'm going to get to see who I call "My Friends at Aloft!"
I liked a lot of things about this hotel, but I doubt I would book it again unless certain things are changed or I got an amazing rate. There are pros and cons:
Pros:
Great location near airport but also near dining and shopping and bus routes
Nice staff
Staff allowed early check in which was appreciated
Very nice pool area! Probably the best feature of the hotel and one of the best ones of any airport hotel
Modern lobby
Cons
-The gym had very limited equipment
-The room has a terrible sewage smell. This was what makes me not want to stay there again. It was absolutely nasty!!! I would have switched rooms but I didn’t bother because I had such a short layover and it’s a hassle.
-Room maintenance was lacking. Think chipped paint, cracked light switches, etc. no idea why they don’t keep on top of these simple fixes.
-Room temperature: it was freezing and it’s one of those systems where it’s only set to heat or AC. There was no way to make it warmer.
Not the hotel’s fault: The shuttle took 45 minutes to get to terminal 7 once it left. Leave ample time or take an Uber.
Exceptional Customer Service at Aloft El Segundo!
first of all, I must give a shout out to the entire front desk staff, the management, especially housekeeping and the restaurant/bar staff. Their exceptional, customer service, having owned hotels myself, and with a 20+ year background in hospitality, has been nothing less than exceptional and consistent the many times I've stayed here. I will write a separate review being sure to name all those wonderful people to the best of my ability.
For now, however, I would like to single out one specific employee who went above and beyond all of those here, who I MUST include have already gone far above and beyond in there, professionalism and exceptional hospitality,
During my recent stay at Aloft, El Segundo, I experienced a level of service that truly elevated the experience. The front desk attendant, Brittany, exemplified professionalism and attentiveness, making sure every request I had was handled with care and efficiency.
From the moment I checked in, her welcoming demeanor and swift handling of my accommodations set the tone for a comfortable stay. Whenever adjustments or special requests arose, they were met promptly and with genuine attention to detail. It was clear that she takes pride in ensuring that guests have the best experience possible.
While the hotel itself offers clean, modern, and affordable accommodations, what truly stands out is the exceptional customer service. In a time when hospitality can sometimes feel rushed, the level of care and professionalism here was refreshing.
For anyone looking for more than just a comfortable place to stay, I highly recommend Aloft El Segundo. The outstanding service alone earns this hotel five out of five stars.
Thank you to the front desk team for making this stay unforgettable.
This loft hotel combines modern style with comfort, offering spacious, airy rooms with high ceilings, chic decor, and plenty of natural light. The layout feels open and inviting, with thoughtful touches with cozy seating lobby area and well-equipped amenities. The staff is friendly and attentive, adding to the relaxed, welcoming vibe. Ideal for both short stays and extended visits, this hotel provides a unique, urban experience with a touch of luxury. Perfect for travelers seeking a blend of style and convenience.
I stayed at Aloft El Segundo for 3 nights, I cannot emphasize enough how amazing the service is here. Brittany was extremely helpful in making sure that I was being accommodated for. I learned from her that some hotels have a partnership with car rental companies where they can deliver the car to your hotel, all paperwork being done at the lobby. On top of that they have a shuttle that will take you to and from LAX. I also can't forget about the decor, really modern. ||Last thing I wanted to mention was how great Katie was as well, she helped me set up my parking situation. She's really welcoming as well, checking in to see how you're doing and how she can help. Overall, I'd stay here next time I'm in LA!
