The room was clean. Thanks to house keeping I slept in a clean bed. The pillows were hard and my neck hurts. There were no trash bags in any of the cans and I'm not sure why. Is the hotel saving money by not using trash bags/liners ? I didn't throw any of my trash in the can but left it on the desk as I'm wanting to be considerate of house keeping.
There was a pen and paper for notes though, but would prefer trash liners.
I think it's time for some deep cleaning too. The grout in the bathroom floor looks dark and dirty.
The shower was truly an amazing experience I am certain it stripped a years worth of dirt off me. I had a hard time wanting to get out. One thing is certain that anybody walking out this hotel had a very good shower.
There wasn't enough light in the room.
I think this hotel needs to do a bit of maintenance and upkeep. I normally stay at the Hilton Garden but they were out of rooms and Aloft had a good deal. There is potential for me to return. Guest service was good.
Staying at the aloft was a last minute decision. It offered the shuttle to and from the airport I was able to check in early as I had a wedding prior to regular check in time… The bed was comfortable as well as the room. The staff was accommodating and kind. The shuttle drivers were excellent and I did have to use Uber twice, I felt very comfortable with them also. Overall, an excellent turnaround trip for my nieces wedding.
I booked the hotel because people comented that its very clean but to be honest its a little low on cleanliness. I got bedbugs from here. Just be careful.
All other things were just fine. Rooms are small and washroom is at the entrance.
Easy check in and a nice, efficient room design. Comfortable beds. We used the shuttle twice and it worked out great. Just sign up when you check in. They run about every 30 minutes to Aloft and the nearby Marriott properties. Easy walk to a few restaurants. Pool and gym are very basic but there if you need them.
Unfortunately, our friends we were going to visit had a family member pass away, so they had to fly out town to arrange the funeral. So our family had to cancel our flights and travel plans for the visit. Every place was understanding and helped us cancel and process a refund EXCEPT for Aloft! When we called to explain what had happened, they told straight up no refund on your room and then charged us another $25 the day after our scheduled arrival a no-show fee. We should have just stayed at a Hilton as they have accommodated us with a refund in the past when my wife's father passed away on a travel vacation. At this point, we have started the process with travel insurance company for them to process this hotel charge. I'm glad we paid for the added travel insurance. We never had to use it until now.
Hotel consistently overbooks with online booking due to needing rooms for an airline. They make no effort to call you to let you know and when you arrive say they have rooms at another hotel.
Our experience tonight was awful. We arrived after dinner and were given a piece of paper and told we are at another hotel. We had no car and it was down pouring. We got a ride from one of the employees and when we got to the other hotel, they did not have rooms for us. The individual who gave us a ride kept making 1000 excuses as to why the Aloft didn’t have rooms and kept blaming this other hotel stating they had rooms and had told them they did. At this point they made inappropriate offers of other places we could stay rather than coming up with other hotels.
They ended up talking to another manager and found out there was a different hotel that had rooms for us. We got to the hotel and luckily they had a few rooms “set aside” for us.
All in all it was very stressful, the individual was helpful in giving us a ride but inappropriate and unhelpful in all other aspects.
Rooms, ok, they clean every other day, but not bad.
Location, restaurants within walking distance.
Staff, terrible, they have no idea how to care for guests, rude, ignorant.
No continental breakfast.
Shuttle, leaves a lot to be desired.
I’m here for business, on a family vacation I will avoid this hotel.
We stayed here as part of Travelsphere tour party from the UK for one night after our flight from London. Convenient for the airport. Staff were very nice and helpful. Problem for us was the noise from the interstate and trains sounding their whistles throughout the night. If you’re used to city traffic noise then I guess this wouldn’t be a problem. The complimentary bottles of water were a nice gesture - one that didn’t feature in any of the other hotels we stayed in on the tour.
