I'll start off by saying I've stayed here before a few years ago with no complaints but things have changed since. Front desk was nice but our room appeared clean but smelled like mildew. The scent even lingered on our clothing. Pool was dirty and there were no trash bags in the cans in our room. With two babies in diapers we didn't want to just throw them in the cans.
Hopefully this was just a one off experience because we do love ALOFT hotels just not this particular one.
The front desk workers were very nice but the standard of cleanliness at this hotel is very low. When we checked in, the shower and desk in the room were dirty. Next day, we asked the front desk to make sure our room would get cleaned that day and we came hack to the room still dirty. We were switched to a different room and that one was dirty too. There arebstains on the carpets in the hallways and the room door didn't close all the way either. We chose to checkout early and stay at another hotel. Very disappointed.
Positive: The staff person made us feel very welcome and she was so friendly. The pillows and beds were extremely soft in our room. Negative: I didnt like the air conditioner. It kept making a noise throughout our stay. Maintenance came and tried to fix it but it kept happening. He mentioned the vents were old which was causing the issue.
Thos place was amazing. Everything you need on site plus they LOVE your pet! Treated my puppy like family. We will be back again!
We came together as a family we've been visiting all Corpus Christi, we decided to stay here for one night. We got the room everything was okay. My Dad and brother were the ones who got off and got the room. (It's 5 of us, me, my mom, dad, and two brothers). We then went into the room and my two brothers went outside to get something from our car. When they came back in the lady at the front desk stopped my brother and told him "I know what's going on with you and that guy" which was weird my brother felt confused my brother then said umm that guy is my Dad the lady then went on by saying oh okay well I won't say anything if you just be cool and stay out of trouble. What kind of hotel is this? We are still staying here because we have no where else to go as we are visiting.
Very very unprofessional and we feel very uncomfortable. Is the lady at the front okay? Really weird interaction felt uncomfortable the whole day. Very unprofessional.
Not a good stay at all. Rooms were very dirty, sheets needed to be chaged when we got there, rooms were musty (we had to buy a plug in air freshener), bugs in our bathroom, hallways had wet carpet, lounge area in the lobby was dirty and covered in dog hair, green pool, and breakfast was not worth the extra cost. We asked to switch rooms for the weekend and we couldn't, they did clean our room, so that was helpful.
Wasn't pleased with this hotel. Lobby and elevator smelled like a wet dog. Hallway and room were very humid and musty and had a stench of mildew. The bedding also had an awful smell. Planned to sleep in, but woke up and decided to leave at 5 am to get out of there asap. Will not return.
The hotel is okay. Breakfast was not that great. Rooms are small. We had booked doubled bed, howevere something happened and they had only king bed. They did give us free breakfast.
The receptionist was really nice and polite. Rooms are clean, however they look really old maybe because of the dark blue carpet.
