Best WLM Reviews
The room was laid out nicely, clean, and has pretty cool shampoo. The room and location were by far the best part of staying here. It is not super clear that breakfast is not included in your stay, and they have packaged convenience snacks at high prices, which is absurd to me with the price of the hotel room. Decor is nice. Cool chairs. Parking is also not included so be ready for that added cost as well. I'm sure there is better value elsewhere to find.
Hotel doesn’t look like much from the front or lobby area but it’s a little better in the bar area and rooms. Bed is comfy although my duvet cover was ripped.|Room A/C is noisy so good for those who like ‘white noise’. It doesn’t drown out the noise of the trains passing the hotel and blasting their airhorns through the night unfortunately.|Hotel gym is poor, two treadmills and one was broken.|The partnered gym on level H3 is great though and opens at 5am.|Essentially a basic hotel for basic expectations, wouldn’t rush back.
Had a great visit here. The hotel GM Laronda, reached out to me a few days earlier with a welcome email outlining a few things to expect. She offered up any accommodations and I took her offer on a room on the upper level in a quieter part of the hotel. When I checked in, they had my notes on file, and got me squared away with that request. All in all a smooth process and great stay here. Thank you Laronda and the rest of the team for your hospitality.
We had a very pleasant stay there for The Rolling Stones show in 2024. Large room with a nice spacious view on the lake. Service was good. The location was perfect, very close to the stadium, and Rock'n'Roll Hall of Fame (in the walking distance). There was a snack bar next to the reception desk. Although the breakfast was included in the fare, we didn't have it as it appeared not too interesting. However, if you go out and to the left, after 2 min walk, you'll find a great place to have breakfast with a variety of options.
Aloft Downtown Cleveland is a great choice for a modern, comfortable stay in the heart of the city. The rooms are stylish and well-kept, and the hotel offers excellent amenities for the price. The location is perfect for exploring downtown, with easy access to restaurants, entertainment, and lakefront views. Overall, a fantastic value for anyone visiting Cleveland.
Clean hotel in an active part of town. The hotel guests have access to the fitness center in the building, which is a full service gym.
There are many dining and nightlife areas close by and a few right in the building.
Some reviews mentioned neighborhood noise. The hotel referenced it in my confirmation email. Also, a simple Google Map search will show you that it is in an active area.
Wish I could give this location at 2.5. Spent a night here to break up our 8 hour drive for Thanksgiving, but considering I didn’t sleep much at this hotel I should’ve just driven through the night. The walls were as thin as paper, the pillows felt like they were 15 years old (mushy and unsupportive).TV was old and remote barely worked. Smoke detector flashed a bright light all night. Was dog friendly with no additional pet fee, which we appreciated, but because the walls were so thin my corgi growled at various noises all night (he’s stayed in multiple hotels and lived in urban settings and has never been this restless before). Interaction with the front desk staff was fine, though there was a band playing WAY too loudly at the hotel bar so all parties had to shout to be heard. Valet parking was not well organized at all, as the valet is completing parking for all establishments in the building, of which there are many, not just the hotel. Interiorly, the entire vibe was very gray, dingy, and outdated. The only selling point was the Drybar bath products and easy access to the thruway. Not sure if I’ll stay at an Aloft again.
Worst experience ever with a hotel, staff included. I was given a room along the street and was not told there is an event venue across the street. The noise level was RIDICULOUS loud, like the heavy metal band was playing at the foot of my bed. I called the front desk twice, but they weren't friendly or helpful. Granted, I was highly frustrated as I'm here on business and working 12 hours per day, and I'm sure the staff gets sick of guests complaints, but basically I was told it's not there responsibility to do anything more for me. I tried to find another room in another hotel, but there is a baseball game and a medical conference, so the few rooms available are 700.00. Also, when I got to my floor, the weed was pervasive. In my room, it smelled like someone was in here smoking weed. I'm here for a medical conference and hate the thought that this smell is in my clothes. I will need to wash my entire suitcase. It was so bad I let the front desk know I wasn't going to pay an additional fee due to the smoke (you can be charged extra for "cleaning"). I would not recommend this hotel and they need new staff that is friendly and knows how to treat customers. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure they get tired of dealing with this issue, but they could minimize it if they let you know in advance. I would not have selected this hotel and I can promise you I will never stay here again. Paying almost 400.00 for this is unacceptable. Do yourself a favor and if you're not into the party scene, book elsewhere.
