Best WLM Reviews

I had the pleasure of staying here for five days the week after Thanksgiving, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The room was incredibly comfortable, providing a relaxing space to unwind after long days. The view from my room was lovely and added to the overall ambiance of the stay.
The front desk staff were attentive, friendly, and always ready to help with any questions or requests, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I also appreciated the extra amenities the property had to offer, such as a pool table, which was a fun way to pass the time, and snacks that were readily available whenever I needed a quick bite.
All in all, it was a great stay that exceeded my expectations, and I would happily return in the future!
Overall nice hotel for the location and price. The hotel is located close to dozens of nice restaurants and walking distance to major retail shopping.
Downstairs, there is a bar and a 24/7 shop with snacks and drinks. Payment is easy and any purchases can be paid with a card or charged to your room.
The staff members are very helpful and attentive. The first room I was given at check-in literally had part of the ceiling leaking and falling into the bathtub. However, the front desk immediately assigned me to another room and I had no other issues. The room itself was very nice and the bed was extremely comfortable. There were also blackout shades for the windows and my room had a small fridge.
In terms of noise, the walls are a bit thin, so you can occasionally hear other people in the halls. This wasn’t a huge issue, even with it being Halloween weekend. The hotel is also close to Northwestern hospital, so you occasionally hear some sirens. Personally, I didn’t find any of this overbearing (and it’s pretty typical in a bigger cities anyway).
Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would stay here again. The location, price, and the hotel itself are pretty great.
I had a wonderful experience during my recent stay. From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel welcome, and Ricky at the front desk was exceptional.
He made the process quick and seamless. He was polite, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay.
The hotel was clean, well-maintained, and had all the amenities.
My partner and I were looking forward to a weekend getaway with friends. Upon checking in, we were informed that our room wasn’t ready, which was quite disappointing after a long journey. After waiting for almost 30 minutes, we decided to switch to a different room that was available.
The room we ended up in was spacious and had a great city view from the corner. The beds were incredibly soft, making it easy to fall asleep. However, there was limited storage space, which could be a concern for those planning to stay for an extended period. Additionally, the TV had a limited number of channels.
One thing that stood out to me was the thin walls. It was quite noticeable when other people were having guests over, and I won’t go into further detail.
The bathroom had ample shelf space for our toiletries, and the shower provided adequate pressure. Make sure you bring the appropriate charging equipment for your electronics-USB Ports only, not updated for newer phones-just an observation.
Overall, our stay at the Aloft was a pleasant experience. The lobby had a nice bar, and on weekends, they had a DJ playing music, which I personally enjoyed. There was also a small snack market on-site, although I found the prices to be a bit high. Unfortunately, breakfast wasn’t available on-site, which was a new experience for us, but there were plenty of options nearby!
We only needed a one night stay for an early morning appt at the Colombian Consulate, a quick 5 minute walk away. The room was huge for a double queen and the biggest bathroom I've ever had in a hotel. There is no closet but hangers were provided above the coffee area. The hotel design is modern, beds comfy. The pillows were okay. Shower head is nice. Water pressure could be a little more powerful but wasn't bad. The couch had a burn hole and the rug a bit worn, but all in all for the price I'd stay again. Parking is typical Chicago valet. I use spot hero and got parking for 1/3 the cost 5 minute walk away at 355 Ohio.
Not near subway lines but there are buses. Queen Room with 2 beds is spacious but there is no closet, no robe or slippers (so don't forget those if going swimming), and no shower caps. Lights can be confusing. Cute couch/table nook but you can't really see the TV from it. Shower has nowhere to put your own products--very frustrating. No bathroom vent when needing to air it out! No vanity mirror (closest mirror is at the opposite end of room. Pool is quite shallow, relatively short, and slightly heated. No lifeguard. Make sure to rinse your hair with cold water first so it doesn't strip your color like it did mine! 24 hr gym but can't speak on it. I needed some important, time sensitive items from housekeeping that took 1 hour and 2 phone calls to receive! Came back to an open room once but luckily my valuables were on my person. Food bar is junk food. Snacks were thrown out during cleaning. You cannot reach guest services directly and must 1st deal with a useless phone bot! Housekeeping knocked over 2 hours before checkout, essentially waking me up! There needs to be DO NOT DISTURB signs. No tea /coffee downstairs after 11am. 4 stars for location and price + ability to swim & gorgeous lobby, otherwise 3.6. I also like that I could crack a window when it got stuffy. If you're okay with taking buses or drive, and aren't too fussy, it's an excellent value. Knowing what to expect now, I would return if the price was right and I needed to be in that particular area.
This hotel was exceptionally clean, a great location & the staff were wonderful. We arrived in Chicago very early in the morning and the outstanding front desk associate was able to get us in a room right away at 8 am. The free coffee in the lobby was fresh & delicious. The hotel did however have a dog that was barking like crazy the first night of our stay, no fault to the hotel itself.
Positive: The hotel's location is great for walking to most attractions and tons of retail and dining right. The lobby is massive and a nice hangout area, both were guests and city residents especially on weekend evening. Great staff. Negative: They tested a fire alarm at 9am one day. Why not wail til afternoon when it is less disruptive? A towel in my room was damp and dirty when I arrived. Room lightning is very dim, and light switches hard to find. Decor makes room appear under construction
