I stayed here for 2-nights. The location next to the airport is good but the hotel is little different. It's comparable to the Canopy line of hotels with Hilton - but Canopy is way better. The hallways in the hotel as you walk down to your room are very dark - it's kind of weird. The rooms are a good size but not a lot of traditional furniture. No real desk to speak of, you only get 2 bath towels (that's a fail - you need at least 4). The showers are newer and clean but they lack shelving to place any toiletries like your shaving cream or shampoo and conditioner. The water pressure is terrible. My room had a huge bug in it on the ceiling, but maintenance came right away and dealt with it. The downstairs is spacious but their food selection for breakfast and snacks is very limited. Again overall just meh for a hotel. For the price point, I would search for something different.
I had the opportunity to stay at Aloft Charlotte Airport, for a friends homecoming weekend celebration; and I can confidently say that I’ll be booking here again the next time I'm in Charlotte! The rooms were perfect—clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. The staff went above and beyond; they were attentive, accommodating, and genuinely kind. Housekeeping was also very nice and welcoming, which added to the overall positive experience.
The location is ideal, just a few minutes away from everything you could need, and the shuttle service made getting around a breeze. If you’re looking for a great place to stay in Charlotte, I highly recommend Aloft!
Had a great stay here. Needed a hotel close to the airport that allowed pets. We have a 12 year old chihuahua mix. Because of our situation, we had to arrive early. The lobby looked like a great place to do some work until check-in, but was glad to hear that they had a early check in option (for a fee). The room had everything we needed including a small fridge, which was also convenient. Free dependable WiFi. The hotel looked safe and clean. The pool's water looked clean but we stayed in December. They have a little lounge in the lobby with a couple of fire pits by the pool. Very convenient distance to the airport, some sports bars, publix and costco. Nice friendly staff. No free breakfast, but I think they make up for it in other conveniences. Nice shower and personal care items. Feels like a modern apt, but it's a hotel. Thanks, Aloft! It was everything we needed.
I am so grateful for this hotel tonight. COBY and JESSICA seriously saved my life. I had a serious emergency and they could tell I was beyond stressed. They gave me love and grace, they let my daughter pick a snack. They offered so much to make sure we were comfortable. This room is beautiful and clean, we have so much space to relax and unwind. I’m so thankful for Coby and Jessica, I will be a customer for life after this experience.
The staff at Aloft were the highlight of my stay. From the happy & friendly reception to the WXYZ Lounge team and the shuttle driver, everyone was professional, helpful, and welcoming. Their service definitely lifted the experience.
When I review a hotel, I focus on 10 key areas, but here are my top 5, in order of importance:
1. Cleanliness
2. Staff
3. Security
4. Comfort
5. Noise levels
The noise levels, security, and comfort were on point. It was quiet, I felt safe, and the bed—classic Marriott—was as comfortable as you’d expect.
However, cleanliness was a letdown. While the room was well-designed, the visible wear and tear was hard to ignore. Stains on the ottoman and pink mold in the shower really stood out. Not just stood out, the mold is just wrong. It’s one of those situations where the room felt like it could use a bit of a refresh from top to bottom.
If it weren’t for the incredible staff, this rating would be lower. Their attentiveness and kindness really kept things “afloat.”
The location is super convenient for airport access, but overall, I’m on the fence about recommending Aloft. The value was okay, the staff were amazing, but the room definitely needs a little TLC to make it shine.
I recently came for a one night stay on 11/03/2024. Everything about this hotel was phenomenal the bar, the esthetic of everything. The lady behind the bar was such a great bartender, where I was extremely disappointed was the morning I checked out. When I booked the room it said FREE BREAKFAST was included!!! Which it was not at all, You had to pay for just a small biscuit… hate to say Probably won’t come back here after that put a bad taste in my mouth! Should be more in detail about that before people book it!!!!!
Always enjoying staying at Aloft properties. This one was near the airport and away from town but still nice. Hotel was fine. Staff were great. Bartender and shuttle driver from airport were awesome. I apologize but I forgot their names. Christian at the front desk was awesome and helped us out in a major way with a few small things that came up in our layover at the airport. Christian is a star and someone should give him a raise. Great hospitality and service from everyone we met on staff.
Positive: How clean it smells when u walk in Negative: The hallways should smell the same as it does when u walk in the hotel. The halls and elevator need to be freshened up. There?s no microwaves in the room u have to walk to use the microwave and the price of food and drinks is pricey.
