Best WLM Reviews

We has our Marine Corps Ball there. The service was outstanding from start to finish. They were receptive to us staging our vehicles to unload and were helpful with bringing carts out. Great security detail and everyone was incredibly professional. The area is also incredibly safe and a bit secluded from the main strip but still walking distance. Definitely an amazing place to stay or to hold a venue.
Expensive, but really nice rooms. No free breakfast and not a great parking situation. Nothing is really walking distance. It’s not too far from Chapel Hill, but it’s just a bit of an awkward distance away. The main lobby etc is quite nice.
It’s more of a 4.5stars hotel, but giving it 5 to boost average up from 4.1.
Reception staff were nice and gave us a wine opener too.
Let's start with a great staff! Which is the only redemption for this property. The rooms are on the smaller side. This is a couples hotel, not great for families. Any aloft is really not great for families. Bathroom lights overwhelm the space. HVAC fan won't stay on in our particular room. It only operated on auto mode and I like to sleep with the fan sound. Everytime it kicked on and off I woke the entire night. On the evening of 10/12/2024 the elevator was out for the entire stay. Third floor was not too bad, but the back door of the hotel was permanently prompt open the entire night for access. To me this is a security threat and will not stay here again or any Aloft in the future. I am in all the way Bonvoy Gold member, but have lost me permanently with their aloft series. In addition for this particular property, parking is a nightmare. We rolled in from dinner at 8:30pm and think we had the last spot in the garage with our oversized family vehicle. On a positive note, the staff is over accommodating. Provide us free breakfast for the inconvenience. Also extra points. Friendly staff. We will miss you.
Our hotel stay was paid for by a family member who lives in Chapel Hill. We checked in and were asked to provide a card to keep on file for incidentals during our stay. We informed the staff that the room was booked with another card, which they should have had the information for. We were asked to use our own card for the moment and assured that we would not be charged for any part of our stay. Fast forward a few days - we were charged for the entire stay at the hotel, which ended up being very expensive (we did not incur any incidental expenses). We realized this hotel is extremely overpriced considering that the service was poor, it was no better than any hotel with basic rooms and amenities, and no one came to clean our room, empty trash, or restock items the entire time. When we called the hotel, the staff refused to make it right and said the issue would be escalated to a manager, who we still have yet to hear from. This is unacceptable given that we were not expecting to pay this money, should not have had to because it was already paid for by a family member, were guaranteed that we would not be charged by hotel staff, and now we are in a tight position because of it. Do not trust this hotel, and don’t waste your money. It is not worth it!
Shower was disgustingly dirty water from the previous room and dirt in the grit. Went to the pool wouldn't go in, food on the floor rust over multiple things, very small dirty and unsanitary. Gym was nice enough and the bathroom has a barn door no lock. Not the greatest at all
Checked in after a late flight. Was told my cc was wrong, mobile key was down and that I have to walk my luggage up 6 flights of stairs due to elevator issues. Outdoor staircases are wide open due to the downed elevators meaning 0 security. Single, female traveler with platinum status at Marriott and I’ve never felt so disrespected. If I hadn’t came in so late I’d have asked to be moved to a different hotel.
Do not stay here. 10 cars, including ours, were broken into overnight right in front of the hotel. There was no security overnight and the person at the front desk was no where to be found. According to management, this was not the first time this happened. Our stay was less than stellar prior to the break in. The hallways were unkempt (a used bandaid laid in our hallway for an entire day), the staff overnight was less than friendly and seemed unphased that we were up at 3 am in the morning dealing with police and glass all over our car. In addition, we told the cleaning staff we were leaving for the day and would like our room cleaned. When we returned, the room was still dirty. Really disappointed, as I always try to stay at an Aloft when traveling.
I stayed there a couple of weeks ago and was really surprised by how dirty the lobby and food areas were. The shower was completely unusable as it filled up with a foot of dirty water within a minute of turning the shower on. Absolutely disgusting. The worst part about the entire stay was the level of rudeness displayed by the woman at the front desk (very portly blonde in her 20’s with a nose ring?). Politely told her what was going on with the shower and at first she wouldn’t even acknowledge that I was standing there and just kept staring at the computer, and then she finally acknowledged me and said “uh huh, ok” and walked off. they don’t deserve your business, stay somewhere else.
