Parking is a bit difficult to find at first, the address on Google maps will put you at the front door, but not to the little check in parking lot or to the parking garage ramps. Signage is easy to miss, but once you find it, is very convenient and easy to get in/out of. Elevator takes you straight from the parking garage floors to room floors after check in. Pool and gym are difficult to find, many elevator switches and strange hallways, but nice spaces. The bar is spacious and is a great space! Hotel is located near lots of downtown fun spots and concert/show venues. Room was really cool, clean, and had a great view.
My family and I stayed at Aloft Buffalo Downtown in August 2024, and we had a wonderful experience. The hotel itself is modern and well-kept, and our room was clean and comfortable, making it a great place to relax. We stayed here for 1 night since we were doing back to school shopping. ||||One of the highlights for our kids was the swimming pool, which has been recently renovated and looked fantastic. They absolutely loved it!||||The staff at Aloft were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, we had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Buffalo!
I was thoroughly disappointed with my stay at this hotel. The filthy microwave in the lobby is insane.
The rooms were also poorly maintained, with dirty bed frames, cobwebs, and a laminated floor that was desperately in need of cleaning. I had to use a floor towel to mop up the room, but unfortunately, room service took it away before I could take a photo.
While this hotel may appeal to those seeking a boutique experience with sleek amenities, it lacks some functionalities and is not designed with working parents or families in mind.
However, the front desk staff is amazing and helpful.
I had a great experience staying at the hotel!
The manager Emmy was awesome with accommodating me with adding an additional stay due to my flight travels! She checked on me frequently and was attentive.
I was given the room I desired with a balcony with the best view of the city! That was the highlight for me. Also the bed was really comfy in my opinion.
Jackson at the wyxz bar was Great mixologist and knowledgeable with my drink option! Overall 10/10 would recommend, and this is my FIRST TIME in Buffalo! ???? unfortunately due to the weather I didn’t get to check out the city to to much but the hotel has an indoor pool, bowling Allie, gym, an 3 options for food! So I’m happy!
I never write reviews but this was such a rip off that it has compelled me to write one. The 12th floor might have good views, but it is incredibly loud from the rooftop bar. There is nothing in the room to buffer the sound so you hear every beat of bass from the bar upstairs. I asked to be moved and was moved to "the same type of room I paid for". What I paid for was a king room with a view. The attached picture is the "view" from my room . It is a bunch of hvac equipment. The room was also by the elevator and very loud, but quieter than the loud bass from the rooftop bar. The front desk was apologetic but couldn't do anything other than give some extra points because technically they were the same type room.
Some other annoyances that other hotel chains account for is there is no option to leave the ac fan running all night, so there was nothing to drown out hallway noise. There were no shelves in the shower to hold your toiletries, and the bathroom door didn't latch or lock. The shower was unnecessarily complicated. There were no instructions in the room to tell you to press some unlabeled buttons to turn on the hot water. After this experience, I will never stay at an Aloft again.
I booked 2 rooms, |I Walked up to the agent at the front desk a lady, at arround 4pm fir check in, she gives me 1 room, and says we have to wait for the 2nd one it might not be ready, understandable up to this point, fee min later someone else walks up to her to check in and she gives them a room, |At this point I don't understand, when i asked how come she had a bad attitude and never game ab explanation as to why they were getting a room when i was waiting for about 30 min. |I don't recommend this Hotel for anyone looking for a smooth Customer service experience
Be forewarned, they silently tack on $150 above the room charge for "incidentals". Nothing about this communicated at check-in. Apparently on the assumption you will steal something, for which they need to be pre-reimbursed. Guilty until proven innocent, just need to wait on secret probation, and at some point supposedly they will restore your $150 charge. Still waiting.
Stopped here on a long road trip, what a great location!! If you stop by don’t miss the rooftop bar! We enjoyed wine & an amazing sunset over Lake Erie.
