contemporary modern feel. conveniently located near the airport, especially if don’t need to be in the craziness of downtown. reasonably priced and functional .
The rooms are clean and have a modern feel. The lobby is cool place to hang out with coworkers, friends or family. There’s a pool table and various places to sit and hang out.
There isn’t a lot within walking distance. there’s a bar in the lobby and they have a limited breakfast menu.
There’s a paid parking lot similar to all the hotels in the area.
This seems very industrial and a little too masculine. I was greeted with a slight hello. I expected a little more enthusiasm for guests. I'm in my 70s. My daughter booked it with her Marriott Bonvoy points but still I didn't see any thing to impress me to come back. I brought her down so she could go to a funeral out of state.
Platinum Plus member. We have stayed in this area for several years. I got to the hotel and was surprised at the parking fee ($12/day). I stayed at the Cambria in August and wasn't charged this fee, but it looks like all the hotels in this complex are charging. This area is full of homeless and unstable people with mental issues walking around. At the entrance to pull into the hotel area is a "camp," which is nasty! Piles of garbage and homeless everywhere. It looks like a landfill. We pulled into the hotel, and a woman who was disheveled and talking to herself was walking through the parking lot at this hotel. If you get stopped at the stop lights, the beggars are everywhere, walking from car to car. It's just not a safe area anymore. If I have to pay for parking, I will stay in a more secure area. This area has very little food. If you don't have a car, you have no food choices. This hotel doesn't live up to the Marriott standard. To be a newer hotel, the carpet is dingy and dirty looking as you walk into the hotel. Front staff not very friendly.
I really liked this place. The room was roomy, comfortable, and very clean. The price was moderate. The only thing we needed was an extra blanket, and it was delivered to our room very quickly. Will definitely stay again if needed.
Where to begin, I have now stayed at this property around 12 or so nights in 2024. I choose to continue to stay here because its one of the closest Marriott branded hotels to the airport. Multiple different issues every visit. AC not working in lobby- no big deal- and understandable. Multiple times elevator not working. On my trip here previous to this one, went to bar to order food, I asked if it was to late, her face said it all. Enough said ( common customer service across this property). Arrive tonight at 10:40pm proceeded to bar first to place order( they close at 11pm) order placed- no issues! Went to checkin while order was being prepared( to go) bar tender approached and apologized, stating they were out of wings. ( so i just said please refund and continued checking in) Sounds like the kitchen person cleaned up early and didn't want to make the wings, the menu has a small handful of items. After checking in went to bar to get a refund receipt - she was unable to produce one. I guess I will see in the morning if the charges post. Finally arrive at room- there is a constant loud hum in the room( presumably from the bathroom exhaust fan) its very loud and no way to turn off ). Also the wifi landing page never works properly and you have to put in the 172.x to get to the landing page. I am going to cut my stay short and check out tomorrow and never return to this property. As an Ambassador who spends many nights in Marriott Branded hotels, this one is sure to disappoint- and continue to disappoint again and again.
Dianna at the front desk was very accommodating. She helped me out going above and beyond with exceptional customer service. And she did so nonchalantly meaning this is how she treats every. I imagine. It made my stay there much better. Highly recommend
Unless you want your credit card charged with fraudulent activity from this hotel...I WOULD NOT recommend staying here. Charges continually appeared months after I checked out ..after I called front desk to report it ,they acknowledged incorrect activity , but did not remove it and ignored my calls going forward to resolve it..after reaching out to my credit card customer service and Bonvoy Marriott ,they took care of it for me. The Mgr finally did reach out ,with no concern or apology as to how this could of happened. But this is what happens when you hire criminals for employees
As loyal Marriott Bonvoy members, we were looking forward to our stay at your property during the Austin COTA Grand Prix. Unfortunately, our experience left us quite disappointed, and I wanted to share our feedback in hopes it might help improve future guest experiences.
We paid a premium, five times the usual rate, with the expectation of a comfortable and hassle-free stay. However, our room’s shower had multiple issues: there was exteremly low water pressure, and the handle to switch to the handheld shower head didn’t work. We reported this to the front desk several times and were promised it would be fixed, but repairs were not completed until our last day. As a result, we only had access to a fully functioning shower for one day of our stay.
Given the combination of high cost and unresolved issues, we left feeling dissatisfied, and it’s unlikely we would choose to stay here again.
