Best WLM Reviews

Got ourselves a double queen room with a city view for 2 nights. The view did not disappoint & oversaw the parking lot. The room itself had a creaky a/c unit but kept us plenty cool. I was concerned with the bathroom situation, a farmhouse style sliding door did not lock which meant it slid back open, sharing a room with 3 adults got a little uncomfortable. The shower was pleasant but I was mostly impressed with the offerings at the ground level gym!
Had good Expedia reviews so I booked this hotel for my boyfriend and I who were attending a comedy show nearby.
I was charged 36$ for parking even though I paid for it during my booking. I also paid for breakfast and it was basically stand in the lobby and order from a board a frozen breakfast sandwich or a cinnamon bun. It felt uncomfortable and like an inconvenience to staff so we just opted for food on the road when we left to head home.
As mentioned elevator was very slow. The hotel wasn’t very dirty however it looks like maintenance and remodeling had a ton of shortcuts so it looked cheap. For example grout peeling off in shower, broken shower head you had to hold in place, glass shower doors removed and replaced with shower curtains but left tracks for doors all these things just presented as cheap.
Our floor had hoses everywhere since they were doing maintenance which was also super loud (at 5 pm on a Sunday) seems like this could have been planned better to put guests in a different area or stagger the work so it didn’t impact guests. Nothing says welcome home like stepping off an elevator to get to your room, and having to navigate you and your luggage around hoses and cords and super loud noise from the work.
Ultimately it was one night so it was tolerable but I typically choose Aloft because they tend to be a good experience this just didn’t hit that mark at all.
I’ve been to many many many hotels but I must say the serivice I received from the Front Desk Agent Ogwa is by far the most pleasant, natural and caring I have ever experienced! She was so professional but still made me feel like family. She took her time to explain everything I needed to know as well as answer all my answers with compassion & care. This lady is definitely an asset to this business & I will be returning just because of her! Please pass her this message.
Have stayed numerous times at this Aloft. The elevators never work! This time was a bit different. I asked to speak to a manager as my room was not cleaned by housekeeping, the manager promised he would inform me if someone was able to come and clean (he never did). The following day, I requested to speak to the general manager and got the same person (who was not the general manager). However, this time he was upset as I mentioned he never got back to me and he then slammed the door on my face (literally) since it seemed he was having a bad day. Long sorry short, my room was not made, clogged sink, only one elevator working in the entire property and the front door to my room did not close properly. What a bad experience this was!
The hotel was quiet and welcoming. Staff was very friendly and nice. Ogwa was a stand out to the point I thought she was a supervisor. Then I found out that she had only been working for 4 days. Mind was blown. She know what she was talking was on point with everything o needed. Outstanding job. Which help make up for the mildew in .y shower.
Great hotel that is in a very convenient spot in Downtown Atlanta with easy access to America's Mart and all the downtown attractions. Rooms are updated and very comfortable. My only wish would be a towel bar by the sink and a shelf in the shower for soap/razor. Staff is wonderful and so friendly. Very helpful and any questions or needs are immediately answered. Miss Jackie is a delight and wonderful to talk with!
Live music happening and it's such a nice comfortable place to sit or hang out without being stuck in the room too long.
I had reservation through Booking.com and was told pool would be open (11/09). It was not. In addition the hotel was a little far to walk to the aquarium so I chose to go to a different hotel. When I called for a refund, Charles the manager easily accommodated me. Given different circumstances, I would definitely stay again bc of the good service!!
I travel for work. This is probably the worst experience I have had at any hotel. The staff is very cold and uninviting. My room had dirty sheets, the toilet leaked, the lobby furniture had stains all over and is in desperate need of replacing. On top of all of that the fire alarm went off at around midnight. We evacuated to the lobby and the staff said they didn't know what caused it and told us to just go back to our rooms without investigating anything. We had to convince them to call the fire department to ensure nothing was wrong. Then it went off again at 1:30 am and they just turned it off. This is my first time in ATL and I can assure you I would never stay here again. Marriot should be ashamed of this location.
