We chose this hotel for its proximity to UCI Medical Center where my husband will be treated tomorrow. Upon arrival at 5:0O, we see a sign that says the plumbing is being repaired and there will be no water from 10:00 - 3:00. It was well after 3:00, and the front desk clerk said there was still no water. We went to our room and found it was NOT an ADA king room as reserved. We went to dinner nearby and I called from the restaurant around 6:00 to check o the water situation. The water was still out. When we got back around 7:30, the water was back on but the hallway was littered with tools and debris and smelled of smoke. I called to find out if the bar/lounge was open and was told "no, it is closed on Monday but you can go to our sister property". Ridiculous. Why would a hotel restaurant be closed on any day of the week? |We will miss breakfast in the morning as my husband has to be at the hospital at 5:30 a.m. As this hotel is so close to the hospital, they should open very early for breakfast, There are many other nearby hotels that people can choose for proximity to Disneyland. This property should consider more amenities for hospital patrons. The mattress on the bed is way too soft. Very disappointing experience thus far.
Good experience. Friendly staff and clean rooms. Wonderful hot water and water pressure for showers. The shower head was a little low. I'm only 5'5"/5'6" and to wash my hair had to bend back. Anyone taller would have been more difficult . But it worked for us. The complimentary breakfast was OK. Only ate 1morning. Shuttle stop to Disney right in front of hotel. Nice and convenient. Would stay here again.
Good service, we were able to check-in about 2 hours early that was amazing after a long drive. Breakfast was good and I appreciate the 12pm check out time. The elevators could use an upgrade, they are noisy but they do their purpose. We’ve stayed here about two more times and we will continue to book ALO when we are in Anaheim. Thank you!
Wonderful property. Pleasant staff. Good value. We Ubered 10 mins to Disneyland, which was easy, and saved plenty over staying on Harbor Blvd. My only beef is the pool was closed during our visit and this was not disclosed. A pool area at an adjacent property was made available and it was nice and just a short walk but hotel should have been transparent about this.
TLDR; best hotel for the price, location, and accommodations
Firstly, this is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in for the price. I went to Disney for the day and stayed there for the night and the drive to and from is only like 5-8 minutes, depending on traffic. The room itself was spacious and accommodating, there was a lot of pleasantries, the bed was clean and comfortable, the coffee from the coffee maker was good, and the curtains were truly black-out curtains. The hotel offers breakfast which was really good! There was eggs, turkey sausages, pancakes, seasoned potatoes, fruit salad, yogurt, granola, lots of different bread options, orange juice (which was devine), and coffee with different creamer options, all of which was constantly being refilled throughout the duration of the breakfast time which is great! The staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a pool, bar nearby, Wendy’s nearby, parking was great, and an ice maker. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel. I will definitely go again.
We loved our stay. 1 suggestion for improvement would be to replace the carpet in the rooms with wood flooring for sanitary reasons. The room was very clean and we felt comfortable but that would improve the feeling of cleanliness. Also, having the small freezer compartment in the mininfridge would have been an added bonus. The staff was amazing and we appreciated the friendly service.
As a wheelchair user it's important for a hotel room to be both comfortable and spacious. I require space to be able to move about the room & turn around. The room was aesthetically comfortable, but the amount of space for an accessible room was not sufficient. I had difficulty fitting between the bed and TV area as well as fitting in spaces to turn around. The bathroom was spacious & the tub was fantastic, however, I wouldn't return unless I had a larger accessible room.
Very pleasant stay!
Room: clean, comfortable, quiet. I could see the Disney fireworks (6th Floor)!
Staff: Excellent! All staff I encountered were friendly, polite, respectful!
Property: Clean, attractive grounds, parking was easy (and free!!), easy access to interstates, main roads. Breakfasts were good, satisfying start to day!
