Best WLM Reviews

We love this place and Dr Smith, but I’m giving it a 1 star review in hopes that someone in the office will see this. I’ve been calling this location for 2 days straight and cannot get through to anyone! The call center has tried to get through, and nothing! So irritating! I need someone to fix my child’s medication and don’t have time to drive across town to go talk to them in person!
Update: had to drive across town to the office. I let the girls at the desk know that I’ve been calling and their phones have been down for 2 days and they didn’t even react. Dr. Smith came to talk to me and said she had no idea they were down, and would take care of my child’s medication issue. She’s a total angel, but the desk staff aren’t helpful at all. As I was leaving I noticed the blinking light for messages was covered. No wonder why they said they didn’t see my message. ????
I read all (literally all) of the reviews and I was hesitant and unsure of what to expect from the front desk staff and the doctor based off of everything I read prior to showing up as new clients with my three children.
I was highly surprised and impressed with how polite & professional the front desk staff were, how quick the woman taking vitals worked, how quickly the doctor was able to see my children, and how all of my medical concerns were addressed in one appointment.
One woman was out for lunch (I showed up unannounced just before noon) and the other woman waiting her turn for lunch, processed all of my paperwork and got all three of my children scheduled with the doctor that same day just after lunch.
We came back for our 2pm appointment around 1:45 (waited in the car until 2pm on the dot to check in) and my kids and I watched TV in the waiting area until we were called back around 2:25 (mind you we were squeezed in same day and there were other families there so I didn't mind the wait).
A woman took all three of my children's vitals, did eye exams and hearing exams and took us to the exam room where we waited maybe 10min before the doctor came in and addressed everything as new patients.
My kids felt comfortable with the doctor and he made them laugh. The doctor was very patient with me while I offloaded years worth of medical history and any of my concerns for my three children in the span of a few minutes and he let me interrupt him while he was doing exams whenever I'd remember something I forgot to mention.
Referrals were put in, medication was sent to the pharmacy, a followup appointment was scheduled, and the doctor responded to my message on the patient platform within 24hrs (less than 24hrs, actually).
The business itself was clean and there was tv playing in the waiting area. It says no food or drinks but I don't always listen because it's easier keeping my kids from fighting if they're busy doing something. I was respectful in ensuring my kids only snacked on items that wouldn't leave a mess and they only drank water. We wiped the table down and pushed our chairs in before we went back to see the doctor.
I tried calling twice before going in, but I couldn't get anyone on the phone. If I didn't have the time to drive to the office it could have been an inconvenience; but when I got there, it was obvious that there were a lot of families coming in and only one doctor to treat everyone and hear everyone's concerns.
This isn't a clinic/office for anyone with short patience. Be understanding and compassionate. These humans are working hard and deserve to be treated with respect. Keep in mind, you're going to them with a need. Don't be rude if you're coming with open hands or expecting something to go your way. Being patient and polite made the entire process a breeze.
Expect to receive emails and texts with links to answer all of the medical history questions and a link to download an app along with a code to create an online profile for your child/ren. It took me about 1.5hrs to complete everything for all three of my children.
Thank you everyone who made this a pleasant experience! (: Happy holidays!!
One of the receiving receptionist is not very friendly but once I go in to see Susanne Smith NP is a totally different story. I love the way Susanne interacts with my child. She always has a smile on her face to ease my child’s visit. Since the first time we had our visit with her I was very satisfied with her bed side manners.
We’ve been going to Almouie for 3 years now. Every doctor we’ve seen has been thorough and I feel have the kids best interest in mind! The only thing I do not like is the phone system! Pretty hard to get thru to someone some days.
Dr. Smith was great with my newborn & 4 year old. Very respectful and made me excited to feel like I found a great pediatrician. Giving 4stars because it was just one visit and I’ll update as time goes on.
I been trying to reach the office since Thursday to ask why my son prescription medication has not been sent. Today is Monday 4x days has passed I called after hours and they said they would have a dr send it over right away. Meanwhile my 8 year old son has been vomiting everyday since Thursday and I was trying to avoid emergency room trip. It takes an act of god just to get my kids their medication or reach the actual office unless I drive there in person. My son has been waking up in the middle of the night throwing up. The only reason I went to the y’all’s office was to get medicine and they didn’t forget to charge my insurance and me but forgot to send medication. I’m done with you all second time the PA forgot to send prescription two separate occasions. Walgreens still has not received prescription unacceptable. It be nice if they would hold the pay out of the PA paycheck until job is complete
[update] case manager from dove creek called me today. They saw I was seen Thursday and medicine was still not sent. They made PA send prescription Monday night. Case manager informed me she told the supervisor. I will no longer be taking my kids here but my hope is everyone speaks out and report when they don’t get medicine that could be critical to improving their child's health. My son unfortunately went to ER and was told I could report the PA for negligence because of how bad my son got from not receiving a critical medication.
Waited 3 and a half hours to just escorted to our room. Had another 40 minutes of waiting and then a small check up. They then made us wait another 20 minutes to say they were out of vaccines and weren’t sure when they’d get more. They sent us to their “sister” clinic which was another 15 minute drive and guess who we saw? Like 6 of the people that also waited at the clinic and were told to come here after waiting an absurd amount of time. We have been waiting here for another hour and a half. This experience has been extremely unprofessional and unpleasant. By the time this day is over it’ll have been probably north of 6 hours. Worst pediatrician visit by far. I would give 0 stars if I could.
Wish I could leave a 0 star review. Want to wait up to an hour past your appointment time? This place is for you. Want to have your prescription paperwork not returned to the insurance so you don't get medication you need daily? This place is for you. Want to hear excuses for incompetence and have fingers pointed everywhere else for the mistakes and ineptitude of this business? This place is for you. What to never have your call answered? This place is for you.
